No to the card board! Totally rule that out.
wardrobe is a good space a 400W Hps would be better for that size 600w might get a bit warm.
You will need a inline fane and carbon filter cheap kit containing fan, filter & ducting can be picked up fairly cheaply on the interweb .
Avoid using foil for theses reasons -

  • foil tears easily
  • it crinkles and will cause hot spots especially when using HID but also applies to otherlights
  • It conducts electricity ie you get a lose wire or short and touch the foil bzzzt pop zap.
Thing to use instaed of foil -

  • Paint inside of wardrobe with flat white paint
  • use balck and white plastic
  • Use Diamond mylar, I prefer this to normal mylar as it doesnt cause hot spots
Making mistakes is all part of the learning processe, all the growers here have made mistake in thier time of growing, if they say they haven't , either they are lying or they are God.

Every grow is a chance to do better than before, just that fact you starting to grow is the biggest step forward you can take, once you start you'll never look back.

I wish you all the best with your grow and rest assured there always someone here to lend a hand, it aint called a family for nothing.

Peace

Growerz
Thank you for the advice, I'm sure you guys just saved me a boat load of hardships with the foil/cardboard thing.
Feel free to stop by and let me know the do and don'ts with my grow. I respect and very much appreciate another mans experience

Subbed up :)

The cupboard sounds like a much safer idea! Don't forget you'll need to exhaust the heat somewhere, (out the top would be ideal if possible).

Happy growing, i'll keep my eye out for updates! ^_^

Yes indeed Safety of you and your surrounding should be priority number one!
I would recommend to use Led light, less heat to dispose, less risk of fire etc..
Also the use of a carbon filter should be one of your concerns!

I wish you good growing, but be careful!:karma Cloud:

Thanks Blue. Exhausting through the top, is this because of heat rising. That does make sense, never thought about that.

Soylent green, i have looked into led lights, ran across there prices too lol but after a few grows i definetly will look into buying one. Im getting a little discouraged with my shipment tho, my status has been "origins preparing for shipment" for a week now...ahhh. Not what a first timer wants to hear. Is this normal??

some of my beans took 6 days to new England and some of my orders have taken 15 days. depends on the time of year and your order. That's better to here then hearing that customs has them lol... you will be fine but if you need to e-mail then and just ask when it is expected to be shipped out or when they will have your tracking number

Cool, ill be patient with them, i sent payment to them via mail and they received it in 4 days so i was kinda hoping i would get beans bout the same time, buuutttt...guess all good things come to those who wait
