Lighting 39V 2.1A COBs good/cheapish drivers?

Not that it's needed as Pop said but if your running the fan why not boost the cooling. Picture the air hitting the back side of the heatsink. It will hit it and be blown right up. More than enough. But.... if you did a cover it would trap the air and force it to run through the fins and exit the ends instead of the tops. A chase way.

Something else to even consider would be to a small piece on the sides of the fan to help divert it in a horizontal direction.

I planned on doing the same thing with my 7 foot long bar. One fan in the center, partially covered like we are describing now. When I tested it there was plenty of airflow exiting the ends. If it was open the ends would have remained the same temps. I ended up not needing anything since the cobs were run off cheap mars drivers pumping 20w lol.

You could actually go up to 45 cm is you wanted. I'm sure it depends on your space and the available heatsink. If doing pins I'd do the same if I was to buy a bar I'd go closer together.
Last question before you leave us ;) @BigSm0
10 COBs 2 lamp 5psc each... how much would it cover in my 240x120 tent.
I am planning mount these in a 60x60 or 75x75 plate all dimensions in cm.

I thought i would show you my first ever picture of my girls under the new light.i have taken the blurple lights out now so my girls have just the 200w diy light now and oh boy i am in love with this light.i used to have to turn my blurples off then use the flash on my dslr because there was not enough light but this was taken with the new light on.insane amount of light now :d5:.thanks again @BigSm0 :pass:

@2Stoned2Care how do you train your girls to stay stocky? And what about expected yield here on pictures?

all i have done to these girls is ponytailing, defoliation and lollipopping.the ponytailing seems to keep them shorter and more bushy i also keep my lights quite close when they are seedling to stop to much stretch.and i have no idea on yield apart from over 100g per plant lol

So similar concept as Ripper/A-train (I don't remember which member)... Must try this in soil (airpot), yield seems good. My best was around 140g from AM. Soil, of course.

BTW, could you answer in my thread at "DIY subforum" for distance...

Sorry for some reason I'm not getting notifications. I'm not leaving either just busy busy for a week or so.
40cm squared is probably a great starting point. I like to space my cobs 16" which is 40cm. My single cobs still hit high par numbers at the edge of 40cm marks.
