Lighting 400 or 2 250s

Hey guys, ive got a closet grow im wanting to start and ive got a few questions before I start buying. Closet is 2ft deep, 6 ft long, and 9ft tall. Im going to paint the whole inside white and it will be lightproof when im done. Going to use an inline fan and probly cloths dryer tube to vent it out. Wasnt planning to use a fan for an intake, was just going to see if the neg prwssure with that one fan was enough air flow? Thats me first question. Im doing 5 fast and vast plants in dirt following the guide on the new growers forum on here. What size pots do you guys recommend? I was going to do them in 1 gallon pots. Also the lights...I was debateing if I should get 1 400 watt hid or 2 250 hid. Im thinking 2 250 would be best. Im scared to put 2 400s in there cause me and my ole lady work full time and some days it will be 8-10 hours before I can check on my babys. Lighting schedule is gonna 18 on 6 off. Does all this sound ok? Thanks so much, cant wait to get it built and start getting pics on here oh and one more thing, should I just run hps bulbs since its auto or use mh and then hps?

First off, I think most will tell you to bump up a couple gallons in pot size. 3gal at least for room for the roots to prosper.

Florida.....equals hot.

You may want to think about LED's...almost no extra heat produced and easier on the power bill.

My 2 cents.

And with your length-dominant set up (non-square) multiple lights are going to give you a better foot print of light coverage.

Thanks man, ill do 3 gallon pots and 2 250 lights. I dont know anything about leds and the reaearch ive done is conflicting lol. And it is hot here but I keep my house at 76 but im worried about the heat as well. If it does become a prob I could just keep the doors open but I was told that could hurt my yeild. Ive seen a set of 300 watt led full spectum on ebay for resonable price im just scared theyre gonna be bs. Ive seen yeilds off of hids so those arw alittle more comforting to me.

If you DO look into LEDs more, keep in mind that most wattage listings for LED lights are "potential" not actual...for instance, my light is rated at 135W but is an actual draw of around 90W - 180W's are actual 110W and so on...it's usually listed down in the specs what the actual draw is.

This place has a good rep for the cheaper Chinese LEDs

There are a lot of crappy LEDs, especially on ebay... We have a LED forum, read a lot there.
You might consider CFL, but you'd only be able to use them prob half the year.

I don't know what growing method you plan on using, but I would want something that
wouldn't easily run out of water. Hydro is one thought, I use self watering pots, and when it
gets hot, I have to water every day.

Because of the odd shape, you might want to look into rectangular pots. You could try to make or
buy a large one. Or some of these...
