Should I assume since there is 3 Ft in a meter that this light should cover 6ft x 6ft area? Sorry, math is not my strong point!

I can't advise you on how much area that will actually cover and would like to know also but a 6ftx6ft area is about 3.35sq meters

Its 3x3m so 9x9ft however thats what the manufacturer says

it wants you to have 1 panel for every 86.111283333678 square feet.
