Lighting 400W HPS IDEAL LIGHT DISTANCE (VEG)

Hi all! Can anyone help with light distance for my auto in the veg stage. I’m two weeks In and everything is going well. I’m running a 400W HPS, she’s been sat 14 inches the last week, I know I can lower the bulb closer but is this wise? Or shall I wait until flower to up the intensity?

Use the back of the hand test. Hold your hand at the top of the canopy if it is comfortable so is the plant. If it is hot raise the light if it is cold lower the light. You need to check this every day as the plant grows.

hi danny as long as shes not stretching to much that's how i used to view my hps light
