I have a 4x2x6 tent skin that I no longer have the complete frame for.. looking to get some use out of it, but not sure how to use it.. I've considered building a frame from lumber but I need something I can transport and a 4x2x6 frame isn't something to easily move around when it's time to move..

Other ideas I've had were cutting it up and spray mounting it to plywood or particle board and putting together a little cab that way. The outside is the typical gritty cloth material and the inside is the normal mylar reflective material. It's a $102 LEDWholeSalers tent.. so it's not super quality. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, otherwise it goes in storage. I want to get all new tents (SJ or GL) when I move, so I won't be using it after that.. Could really use a nursery cab.. hmm..

PVC frame would be easy......Probably would not even have to glue it, cut it a little long and the tent skin will keep them in place. 8 corners 4 tall wall and 8 top and bottom pieces. You could even glue in a connector on the bottom vertical piece and have 2 piece poles for easy breakdown.

Thanks for making my brain work a little

Probably buy the frame dude seperate online :D as you would have to buy the materials to make the frame if you dont have them already that is. May cost a bit more for the original metal frame but will be worth it in the long run and safe you alot of hassle for when you need to transport it dude. Maybe sell the skin also? And put the money towards a nursery cab?

Thanks fellas, I appreciate the ideas..

@Musturd: Brother man, is there a 'safe' pvc for plants? I hear so much about lights causing chemicals to release and blah blah blah, I can't find any concrete information on it.. but I mean, why would household plumbing PVC release those chemicals if folks use it for their drinking water?...

@SweetHerb: Hey man! This is a great idea! I e-mailed LEDwholesalers to ask how much it'd cost to ship me just a frame, I believe the majority of the cost is in the damn tent itself.. I don't know why I didn't think of this my budget is super tight at the moment, bank acount reads $4.34 haha, but it gives me something to look into. I'll post their reply!

I just went through the same thing. I got a bigger tent, but without the frame. So I searched like a bugger online and couldn't find anywhere here in Germany to buy JUST a frame for a 1x1x2m Homebox. I went to a couple local building supply stores and thought I could find some poles or rods and connectors that would work... nah. Not here. Nothing's ever that easy here. So I ended up using those Garden Stakes for tying up plants. The metal ones with the green plastic coating. I got big ones, 2.1m long and whatever circumference.. They fit the connectors from my smaller tent perfect. So I cut a new frame from them and added the connectors from the small tent and that was that! See them here in the back?

Of course, now I have no connectors for my small tent.... So I hope to find a fix for that because that tent's supposed to be for studly pollen chuckers in the future.
