Hi all,
First post here, I've been a creeper for many years but finally have something I'm hoping to ask about.
I have an 8 lady garden of different Autos, 6 of which are in new-to-me 5gal equivalent ultra oxy pots from HTG supply (tried to save a little cash vs equivalent airpots). The other two are similar original airpots (I've used real airpots and find they dry out often)
I'm using regular sunshine [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] soilless, plants are at four weeks and either starting to show sex or seem close. Lights are platinum LEDs (4x P300s) and temps/humidity are fine due to it being winter in the south (68F-78F, 50% RH)
Nutes and additives are Advanced Nutrients (yeah, yeah I pay the piper)
Question is - I've been challenged to find a balance where I feel like I'm adding enough nutes / additives, but still able to water twice a week (pots seem to take 5+ days to feel ready to water).
Would anyone have any feedback on how to water/feed 4 week old plants in larger pots such as these but still both get enough nutrients and additives into the soil without causing the plant to need 7 days to dry out afterwards?
First "feed" was 2L (each containing voodoo,piranha,tarantula,b-52 and a low 1ml/L dose of grow/micro/bloom). Now it's been 5 days and I'm close to wanting to do a "water only" like I usually prefer, but then if I water enough to run off, it could be a week before they are ready for the next feed, causing me to "miss" a week in my schedule.
Maybe the plants aren't at "full size" enough to drink enough to both runoff and dry out enough for twice a week watering? I believe maybe my nute regimen is low and on the safe side, maybe I could aim for one real runoff on switch to bloom and only monitor otherwise (I don't get runoff on a 2L watering, I believe based on initial I might need to go to 3L for any run off).
Thanks all! Sorry there's no pics and to be so wordy.
