Grow Room 70w hps perpetual grow pc

If that filter has activated charcoal in it that'll annihilate most offensive odors. And I'm glad you got your temps dialed in. Any idea what growing medium you'll go for?

Going to do it organically and grow in soil. Probably 80% soil 20% perlite.
I just think organic grown tastes better than hydro. Also its a lot easyer in a small pc case. :)

I have done a few more tests on the temps and the temp started to rise to the high 20's with the 120mm fan . I believe this is because some of the 120mm fan had to be blanked off due to its size. So I swapped it for an 80mm one and it fits perfectly and I can confirm it keeps the temps in the mid 20's so I'm well happy. :)
As for the smell, well I lit a blunt in it and left it in there smouldering for a few mins next to the filter and got absolutly no smells coming out so I'm going to assume that the filter will be good for a few microplants. :)
As for vedging with a hps, well I know a clf grow light would be better but that would defete the object of the project so it will very much be a 'try it and see' approach to it. I think the worst that will happen is they will stretch a little bit.
It's currently not doing anything as I am having a few issues getting my seeds (for my seed run) to germinate.
But I will keep you updated as soon as its up and running.
I think this should be an awesome little box. :)
Amazing, that little fan and that big filter and it works!! this will be a very interesting grow! will be watching closely!

following!
does this small fan have enough power to get air through the filter? hard to believe!
got a 120mm fan ordered for my pc case, so if there is no smwll in yours, I'll buy a carbon for mine too^^

let me know!

The bigger the filter the bigger the surface area for air to be draw through, As long as you can extract enough air to keep your temps down and dont exceed the filters max air flow you shouldn't encounter any problems

I haven't abandoned this project, so don't worry. I am just having a few issues germinating my seed stock I was going to use for testing this cab out before it starts running in full production.
I really want to do a seed run with the seeds I have as they are the original purple jems from about 3-4 years ago.
And I think that's the problem. I don't really look after seeds that well and they have just been sitting in a drawer. Had a few not germ last year but this year I have tried with about 20 and so far I'm left with 1 seedling that looks like its not going to grow any adult leaves. :(

So if anyone has any good tips on how to germinate old seeds then let me know. It looks like I might have to do a rethink of strain if I can't get some seeds to germ. :(

You need to put those seeds in a water for a day or two as old seeds can get tougher shells and also the inner seedling can have too little moisture to crack that shell so the water swim will increase the chance of germiantion.
I recently wrote an article about autoflower seed germination, you can check it out.

Setup looks good bro! what yeilds have you had from your previous pc grows?

Depends really. If doing just one photo plant and about 5 weeks of lst I normally just under an oz with a 70w hps or if doing 3 , I normally only get just over a quarter per plant.
I have never had over 1.5 oz from a plant in a pc case but came close doing an ak47 with a 100w hps. Space is ALLWAYS working against you. :(
Unsure what the autos will do in it.
