ok so I am probly going to grow 1 or 2 vison seeds white widow auto but I wont b able to start this until the last frost really guys this is my first time doing this in im really nervous lol but anyways I had a couple of questions my first one when you start the process after the germination in put them into cups how much sun do you think they would need a day until I put them outside I heard 5 hours but im not sure I don't have any fancy lights or anything my other question would be how long do I have to have them inside before I take them outside? i really just don't want to mess anything up i no it cant be prefect but i want it close to it anyone that reads this post in comments on this would help me out a lot and would be great

The first thing to understand is that autos like long days and short nights, although there are different preferences in light hours most agree that 18 or more hours of light a day is needed to get the best out of autos.

So by knowing this, you will soon realise that putting autos outside as soon as the last frost has past will give you a lower yield as the daylight hours are not enough for it to reach its full potential. For outside growing I would recommend that you check the sunrise and sunset times in your area and plan to grow your outside autos when there is a minimum of 12 hrs light in the day.

You can however start them inside, as you mentioned, and then move them outside later on.

To grow inside is a lot easier than people think. you don't need to start with fancy lights or spend a lot of money on equipment. For my very first grow I spent around £40 on equipment.
If you want a cheap and cheerful way to start the plant off then I would suggest using normal household energy saving light bulbs to grow them under. Ideally you would want the bulbs to be 6400K(white light) but any bulb will do the job. Most are yellow light but they will start your plant off with no problems.

To move them outside you will need to slowly adjust them to the change in conditions by taking them out to sit in the open air for the day time and taking them back in at night, after about a week of this you should be able to plant them outside without them being too shocked by the change of environment.

thank you guys that helped me out so around may 1st put them outside? but bring them inside at night for a week or so? and I had a another question I should only give them nutretients when they get a little bit bigger? right I hope everything goes as planned theres really nice people in here that help people out in that's wonderful :dance:

May 1st sounds like a good date to start outside and yes take them outside during the day for a week or so then after that you can leave them outside for the rest of their lives

When I grow a strain that I haven't grown before I always feed with just water and root stimulator for the first week or 2.

Then I will slowly introduce nutrients. Start at 1/4 of the recommended dose and slowly increase the dose until you are confident in the strength of your nutrients

When growing directly in the ground outside liquid feeds are much less effective as rain will wash the nutrients away. So if you are planting directly into soil once they are old enough, I would suggest preparing your plots in advance and enriching the soil with something like bat guano or fish blood and bone.

It would work even better if you dug holes for your plants and filled the holes with store bought soil that had been enriched. people prepare their outside plots in a variety of ways, the key is finding what works for you.

If you plan to grow in pots outside, liquid feeds will still be effective but you will give up one of the advantages of outdoor growing, which is having unrestricted root space.

You are right its great here! We are surrounded by great people who have a positive outlook and a wealth of knowledge to share.
Just be aware that other aspects of your life will suffer, because you will be spending a lot of time on here.

yeah I was thinking maybe putting them in the ground because I want them to have enough root space in I think ill do what you said 1/4 nutrients and go from there in yeah I was thinking good organic soil it seems like everyday I learn something new lol in its helping me out a lot in yeah I spend a lot of time on here seraphim19 I gotta get all the knowledge I can get ha I just wanted to say thanks so much for takeing time out of your day to help me :Cheers me Dears:
