A Garden Of Goodies

Cool man, speaking of seeds, I'm looking at my Muay Thai and thinking she's going to be done early. Almost all the pistils have turned brown. I do not think she took any blackberry pollen, but is just simply an earlier pheno.

Eyes, you or anybody else have experience pollinating a plant that is beginning ripening phase?

It's not that I have to make seeds of her, wanted to, but it feels like I'm a week too late...any thoughts on this?

no not really, read a few things but its generally something you really dont wanna do from the little ive read about it.its certainly not ideal at any rate.Id wait and see if you find on and do it again or just try again if you could. like ready to harvest mature or a few weeks in? a cpl maybe three weeks in is ok from what I know but again not ideal. the first week is where your golden point is.I think. just going from memory here but not really man.

That's cool, I'm thinking it over. I'm going to freeze pollen either way, and I've got a couple more beans of the Thai for future rounds, plenty other strains too of course. I'm just looking at the plant today wondering where the heck there's a white pistil left to pollinate, there's only a few on some underdeveloped lower areas. It's really the opposite experience from last year where the plant looked immature even at the end. I dunno, I've got to think it over I guess.

I'll definitely seed the g14 though.

Here's some snaps of Muay Thai

I cut one top off, maybe you'll see where. Kinda funny story though, not really, but someone came over and helped me reseat the toilet on a new wax ring...I encouraged him to wash his hands as I had done and he didn't, since he's just across the street and said he'd just do it there. I think he was trying to be polite, but it led to disaster.

Outside, he asked how my plants were doing. Of course he leans in before I could stop him and cups a top in his hand while he's checking the smell. Although he may have short term memory about his hands, i sure did not. :nono: Thankfully I have enough weed here, there's no way that bud gets jarred :cuss:, unless it's for an enemy. Haha, just kidding, I don't have enemies.

I might just go start a thread to collect stories like this where your "friend" comes over and Fs shit up in your grow. LOL. I'm sure there's a lot of stories out there, both funny and sad

Anyway, it's really no big deal.

This last pic down low on a branch, 95+% pistils have turned color, just the occasional new pistil, not going to bother pollinating at this point, I think it is clearly too late, and the plant will be ready to harvest in 3 to 4 weeks fully cloudy with a few amber. She's getting that sweet incense smell quality coming in over the fruity.

How's the outdoor humidity there? Mine here is crazy high.

Hey bud, we're lucky here, get very low humidity in the summer. Not as low as Colorado but it's around the 30s, only gets up a little in the early morning. Southern Oregon "potbelt" climate, we are not far from Northern Cali. .... Better watch out when the rains come in Autumn though. People still look to breed or grow plants here that either finish early and/or will be resisted to mold at the end

Tomatoes have gotten tall on me this year, 4 to 6 feet above the pots. A few have blown over when the wind has blown from the exposed side so I put a few stones on those pots on that side, to act as counterweight. Haven't had any blow overs since, we don't often have strong winds here. A few branches broken over, and from the weight, I've been slacking the training on them but they do get their waterings. They're in 50% strength soil I mixed, and only a few I've top dressed with Dr earth. I should probably get after them with some carbs and bone meal....
