A Garden Of Goodies

Yeah, @squatty , I hear you there. I failed at growing several times in the past. Lots of security issues, made me feel paranoid doing it, which spoiled a lot of the potential fun. Even got busted with some plants in Colorado, which is ironic because it's one of the greenest states around, now. Getting busted really set my life back, financially and in terms of applying for work and trying to pay off all the fines and such. I rode a bicycle everywhere at that time, and kept getting sentenced to more community service because I drank a lot of fluids on the bike, and my whizz quiz kept coming back "dilute - fail". Those were hard times, been 15 years+ now.

The social policies today are a vast improvement. There was never a victim in a grow room after all. I read recently that more than 1,700 deaths from prescription drugs have been avoided in the legal medical states, which is around 25 states now--less people on dangerous narcotics because they have a choice. It would be crazy to try and continue to argue that MJ is dangerous. I never smoke and drive, and no longer drink alcohol. Feel like I'm getting healthier again. That is a win.

Here's my tomato factory

They're kind of a mess, too big. I need to get serious next year with the beds and get them in the ground with more supports. My favorite is the Sungold cherry tom, so sweet for snacking. I'm not a big fruit guy, but I can stand there and fill up on tommies, loving it

Here's ye Ole watermelon, it's a Moon and Stars, so the spotting "stars" is genetic and not def.

And ye Ole fig tree, I think it'll fruit next year. It's a container, dwarf variety, maybe 6 or 8 footer, max. Will be able to cut it back and put in the moving truck next time we do that.

Here's that broccolini patch, need to thin it down.
Cat keeps sneaking in there to bury little surprises. :gassy:

Shoots on the g14 are a bit light green, I'm hoping that's going to improve after the last rinse I did...will wait before drenching again with anything, and keep the inputs light.

These are at day 47 or 48 already. Moving them early out of the tent cost me a lot of potential growth but they are filling in eventually.

I pollinated 2 small branches on each plant with the 2 Stone Dragon males I had. Was careful, and sprayed them down with water after 2 hours. 1 hour I believe is sufficient to set the pollen. Any stray pollen would have been minimal.

We'll see what they do

For the purposes of the MJ and the soil testing, I think what I'll do is recycle all the soil I've used this year into the planting beds for next spring. Some of it has bottle nutes in it and so forth, so won't make a fair comparison exactly. I can likely "double amend" it because none of it is currently full strength. I'll study the math on that to get the right amount of nutrient pack into it for next year.

I'll start with the first bag of water only soil this run and try to keep inputs low to nil, then try reammending that on successive runs. The soil is said to improve over time, assuming I amend it correctly and use good compost. I think my next goal is to get my own worm bins going here for absolutely fresh, active compost.....

Thanks again for your interest, and enjoy the rest of your weekend :jointman:

Harvest on some Muay Thai tonight. Have been eyeing a few spots with bud rot and found a few young caterpillar in those areas, not too bad but I took about half the plant to check through things.

Quality looks good overall, the buds are heavy and go 'thud' when you plunk them down after trimming. Sweet incense aroma, mmmmm, these should be good.

Here's a fresh bud
