Indoor A. Smithee's Canna Resort Grow

Checked pots and it was time.

Adjusted PH on RRF and Super: Last adjustments for all three.

RRF - now - 6.53 (was 6.60)
Supersonic - now - 6.59 (was 6.80)
And last check CM was and is - 6.55

I wanted to make adjustments without a major flush because the numbers were not severe, however, the plants are really sensitive. My technique over the last two adjustments has been as follows--with pots not bone dry:

Part 1
1. Run two quarts of distilled water slowly thru pot.
2. Dump any run-off.
3. Wait for all run-off to stop.
4. Run another quart through.
5. Dump run-off.
6. Collect next run-off and get a PH reading.

Part 2

1. Fill gallon jug with R/O water.
2. Adjust PH based on Part 1 run-off PH.
3. Follow same steps as above.

Part 3.

1. Prepare gallon of R/O water and very modest amount of feed and Great White (I know adjusting ph might neutralize the critters before they hit the soil--but--it's expensive and need to use ).
2. Adjust PH based on Part 2 run-off (usually small adjustment).
3. Run about 1/2 gallon thru.

My soil drains quickly. Consequently, the plants are not being subject to over watering/drowning. In heavier soil the above would not work and a flush would be better.

Now, I might be way off on this method. Seems to be working. Comments are welcome.

JM

Astro excellent--creativity. PH a bit too simple for you guys--who look up.

Update:

*Planning next grow. With new soil and no nutes (only if necessary--yes micros).

**Plants are six weeks old Thurs.

***Super looks hideous and will probably try a little 'rabbit in the hat trick' :cuss:. One of those old plants with a new plant graft in look--just in time for Halloween (I ought to put her on the porch).

****RRF is "barren." Either doesn't like 20/4 or is a male in a woman's body. No trichs at all.

*****CM looks the best. PH tested, but with last part went down and is now at 6.41. If it handles this then it should fill out and be a fair grow.

******I am seeking someone or thing blameworthy. Ok--a co-conspirator. I have decided it is Astro for not sending me well water COD. :D

*******I named my thread .....Canna Resort--well I expect to be rated in a day or so by the Canna Resort Growers Association. I will related the results. Top award is the CRGA Five Cola. :smoke:

I better stop.

Take it nice and easy

.... 9 pages later.

finally caught up with your grow smithee.

what beautiful girls you have.

i wouldnt mind dining with some oriental salad.

nice set up bro - keep it comin.

:pop: got my popcorn.

sending you some good karma and the best of luck my friend.

Opinions sought:

The RRF is still "barren" (see above post). No trichs or timely bud maturity after 6 weeks.

The calxyes are plentiful and the top has one merging into it. However, the pistiles are short and sparser than one would expect.

Do you think it is genetic or photo sensitive. No male parts exposed:confused:.

Lastly, will the CM get all bent out of shape if I go to a 18/6 schedule from a 20/4 and see if the RRF responds. The super is in a deep stupor and could careless.

Take it easy. If you missed my dry humored update it is above.

Alright, finally caught up brother Alan. Dunno how in the name of Marilyn Monroe I missed your thread bro, but I'm here and sub'd for the remainder. :pop: And a long overdue +rep for what I've seen so far.

I can't really offer any advice on the RRF man - I've never grown it. As far as going from 20/4 to 18/6, I say go for it, but I would recommend reducing the hours over the course of a few days rather than all at once. 19.5/4.5 day 1, 19/5 day 2, 18.5/5.5 day 3, 18/6 day 4. That will ease them into it and might be less of a shock on their system. Just my :2cents:

My rrf isn't really showing trichs at 50 days from seed. Look deep in the center of the bud on the cola that's where they are growing on mine. None on the very top. I hope you end up with a frosty girl
