Yeah, I have been growing them for a while now. I used one of them in the auto I have been breeding also. I am with you, real good quality especially considering it is a 60 day strain.

Hey Joe, thanks for stopping in brother. Can you give me some more details about that?

No I cant.
I asked this ? earlier I think it was eakman that explained it to me. I think he said that grinspoon was a hybrid and for some reason you cant auto a hybrid. maybe it was someone ells.
I'll check my posts.

Naw, that wasn't me. I know nothing about breeding, and I will and have admitted as much.

I can cross a strain, but that ain't hard. I did have some strain a friend did, that didn't always auto. Unless it was me saying something else perhaps, then maybe it was some other member.

Yeah, that isn't surprising as the auto gene is a recessive allele that takes successive breeding to bring it out. So if someone doesn't grow out to at least f3 or farther then a percentage of them won't auto. With each additional cross of two phenos that auto the percentage of auto to photo gets higher. The first generation will almost always not auto, second generation should be like 33% and so on. Mind you, that is only when crossing auto x photo, auto x auto that are both stabilized will/should breed a 100% auto. End of the day, absolutely nothing is guaranteed in nature.

Couldn't have been that. Almost every canna plant in the world is a hybrid of some sort. Grinspoon, according to Barney's, is as close to a true heirloom as can be found. They claim 100% sativa. I was just wondering the reasoning behind that statement. We read a lot on different forums, a lot of which can't be trusted. Not saying you specifically, no disrespect meant, but when someone reads that and they pass it along without knowing the reason why it begins creating a lot of the wives tales that get passed around on the forum(s).
