A4's Only Organic Thread

Just a few shots of what I got going on at the moment. I have a few Critical+ of course, along with a Dinafem White Widow(a freebie I figured I would grow) and a Romberry by Freedom of Seeds that is really impressing me. She has the Blueberry aroma and production and it was crossed with a Romulan to increase potency so we will see how it works out. There are a couple of Sweet Seeds in there I am documenting in the Sweet Seed section but I figured since I was snapping pics I would get a few of the entire room.

lol, thanks EoF. I just looked at those pics and the fabroc pots look like hell but I am afraid to wash them. I gotta believe there are some great microbes living in their, lol.

Oh man, that Romberry is exciting!! They all look amazing though A4.

Plants look great!
you really get some vertical growth out of those 2gl smart pots. I dont know what im doing wrong, but for some reason I can only get like 13 to 15 inches of growth. Might be genetics but im sure its my dirt.
great job!

Keep it up, A4! :gthumb:
You awaken an uncomfortable feeling of envy in me with these updates. :cuss:

Those smart pots are 7 gallon Joe, the air pots are 3 gallon. Just checked and one of the smart pots is a 10 gallon. The smart pots don't grow quite as well as the air pots in my opinion. Are you growing autos or photos? These are all photos and have been vegged at least 8 weeks, some longer, so you have to keep that in mind when comparing plants. Then in many cases, height isn't always good. I veg mine so long because my lights are intense enough to reach the bottom of the plants. 1000W will punch through a canopy pretty well. So a short bushy plant may be better than a tall lanky one. If you are growing autos you are pretty much gonna have to rely on the genetics. Most of them I have watched have done well in the air pots. One thing you can do to help with vertical growth is add more aeration to your soil mix. Aeration helps with root growth and the more root growth you can get the better the plant is going to be. The downside to aeration is more frequent watering and amendments are going to be needed. Unfortunately there are trade offs for everything you do.

Ohhhh!
well that explains it!
yes I use 2gl and yes they are autos.
I just dropped a Buddha purple kush in a new pot I found. its called a awesome pot

Probly just a bunch of bells and whistles that are not needed, but it looked cool and I liked the idea of the top covered to cut down on evap. and encourage the roots to grow closer to the top.

Yeah, I like the idea of the top being covered too! That is important with organic growing, some type of mulching. Yeah, the two gallons explain it. Even when growing autos I like to use a minimum of five gallon pots. You can get away with small pots if you are feeding chem nutrients but they are too small for true organic. That and the fact that small pots constrict roots which keeps lateral growth down is your issue. Which may not be as much an issue as you think if you don't have a penetrating light. 600W would be the minimum I would start going above 24-30 inches in height. Anything less than that and you are just wasting headroom and bushier is better.
