Hello afn friends,

Its my first post in years, and today i have a question about photoperiod plants outdoors.
I thought i had seen everything but something strange happened and i need help.
I planted several photoperiod sativas and started mainlining or manifolding if you prefer and today my amnesia haze with 8 mains started showing preflowers(hair) , which is weird considering we are in the beginning of june and the day is only getting bigger.

Any theories on this strange occurence? Thanks in advance

Hello good to have you back again. Shouldn't be a stranger so long we like to hear from you. :bighug: :vibes: :pass:
So where abouts are you at and what latitude are you at? Have you had a lot of overcast days recently?
I'm here in Michigan Southern Central not too far from the capital of Lansing. And I experience preflower here as well during this time.
I start early veg production.
I start early in April 23rd. And I extend my light day with artificial lights in my grow cage. Using T5 light's and CMH lights. At about two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening to extend my day light hours to reach almost 18 hours of good light.
So if you're experiencing any of the above questions? Then perflower is probably going to happen a little bit. But it should go away and you should have no worries... and I say shouldn't have any problems. That doesn't mean you won't have. It's just in my experience you shouldn't have.
But if the Breeders slipped you a a fast seed then you may be on your way to flower. And if that rate with the long summer days coming up you should be a very happy camper. Good luck buddy happy growing:pass:

Thanks for the reply and the welcoming GrowtoGrow,
Im in the mediteranean so its brilliant weather for outdoor grows, we have had some dark days and rain recently.
Usually i start growing in the begining of may but this particular plant i planted in the end of march since we had good weather and i wanted to have time to experiment with mainlining before i planted the rest. Its been growing really well and responding to the topping like a champ. Today i noticed the pistils and it was very weird for me. So you think that probably it will go back to veging if the genetics are right?

Here's some pics of the tropical mix by ace seeds, hoping for some really special sativas under the mediteranean sun. They have all been topped and manifolded to have 4 to 8 mains. IMG_20200604_132137.jpgIMG_20200604_132141.jpg.IMG_20200604_132132.jpg

And here's the culprit, not sure if you can see the pistils in the closeups. This is an amnesia haze by linda seeds, 1.5 euros per seed!!! Its been growing really vigorously but this flowering thing at june has me confused. On the plus side, all the seeds i have gotten from Linda-seeds have actually germinated .IMG_20200604_132145.jpgIMG_20200604_132154.jpgIMG_20200604_132201.jpgIMG_20200604_132213.jpg

Another set of pictures, plants growing like crazy and they all seem to have clear sativa characteristics as expected and desired.
