Has anyone heard about or used Actinovate organic fungicide in their grows? From what I've gathered at many Internet sources it can be used throughout the entire life of consumable plants, from germination through harvets. It ain't cheap, but I hear it's very good for all consumable horticulture, ncluding autoflowers. Below are a few supportive comments (cut/paste paragraphs from manufacturer, EPA, and cannabis growers.

Natural, organic Actinovate® fungicide helps prevent a wide range of plant diseases, including late blight on tomatoes and other garden vegetables. May be used on vegetables, fruits, annual and perennial flowers, trees, shrubs and lawns. Used as a preventative, it reduces the likelihood that plants will be infected with pythium blight, verticillium, fusarium, powdery mildew, brown patch, take-all patch, dollarspot, downy mildew, gray mold, root rot, damping off, crown rot, black spot, leaf spots, rusts and more.

This organic fungicide (Streptomyces lydicus strain WYEC108) is now commercially marketed as an antifungal biocontrol agent and plant growth promoting agent in horticulture and agriculture. The products is EPA registered and sold as a biological fungicide, by Natural Industries, Inc., of Houston, Texas. While the market to date has been primarily to the horticulture industry, product is now being used in agriculture to protect various cropts against fungal root and foliage diseases. The overall focus of research is on interactions between rhizosphere-colonizing Streptomyces and plant species. The objective is to determine the importance of this unique plant-microbe interaction in enhancing plant growth, and ultimately also agricultural crop yields. http://www.reeis.usda.gov/web/crisp...romoting-streptomyces-in-the-rhizosphere.html.

... I haven't seen or heard about it yet, mate,...:Cool bud:..interesting! A bio-weapon -LOL! you certainly did your homework,... what with all I saw, I'd give it try no questions! My only concern is how effective it is as an emergency right-now cure, as opposed to a preventative,... as a biological agent, it'll need time to get established and producing those repressive factors,... if you have a bad botrytis or mildew infection, a more conventional treatment (like neem oil) might be better to limit damage and kill things right away,.. followed up by this product! I'm going to refer some homies here, to see for themselves,... for clones/seedlings, it's the ticket! :smoke: Good ref' lloyd,... :slap:

I'm not sure about anything this product can or will do but from what information I gathered, I had to try. I'm involved with an extensive pedestrian garden that I'm partially responsible for and there are a lot of ornimental shrubs and trees that are highly visible to the public. Some of these plants are known to become hosts for powdery mildew; in particular Peonies. Everyone loves Peonies. They have gorgeous large flowers during late Spring and during the summer months the foilage always stays nice and green...unless you have powdery mildew! The past few years has been a tremendous hassle to wrangle the infestation, especially last year. I've tried all the chemicals available and home remedies and nothing seems to affect it; so trying Actinovate is my last ditch effort. If this stuff doesn't control the PM, I will need to dig up and discard all the plants affected.

I purchased a 2oz package of Actinovate and have been introducing it pre-emptivly as a systemic (soil drench), with hopes to prevent any flare ups with PM this year. My expectation is that the streptomyces will have enough time to colonize the root systems/plants with beneficial bacterium prior to initial growth. If necessary, I will also apply as foliar spray until end of growth season.

I have decided to do the same with my personal horticulture endeavours. Recently, I have sprouted a few autoflower beans; they have been showing a slight weakness in vigor so I decided to see what reaction I'd get if I watered with some Actinovate. Within a day I could tell a major difference, no more wimpy looking plants! They all have stiffened up, no more skinny legs or arms, just happy looking girls. I have become so excited and motivated that I've started more beans germinating in the same Actinovate solution. So far, so good. I'll keep everyone updated with the progress.

The Girls are looking very fit and happy; in extreme bloom and getting fat! The response to the Actinovate has been remarkable. I've been watering with Actinovate, Molasses & Epsom salt only. Stay tuned...

This is pretty cool, please keep us updated and good luck with the grow.

Interesting to see what happens with the peonies over the next 4-5 months.

Staying tuned.....no worries in that department!

The Peonies are just starting to pop the surface of the ground. I doubt any powdery mildew will manifest for at least another month or so; hopefully I won't see any!

I've given two treatments of the Actinovate so far and hopefully it has had time to colonize the root system to prevent any flare ups. Also, I'm very stoked by what I see with the Autos. Time will tell more.

The peonies are stellar looking, not a spec of PM to be found on any of the plants. Each plant is remarkably vigorous and stout looking. Lots of buds ready to bust open too. This Actinovate is amazing stuff.

The amount and depth of the PM the past few years has been so bad that I honestly thought I needed to dig the plants up and destroy them all. I highly recommend this Actinovate.

Thanks for that.... By the sound of it, Actinovate saved you from a bit of unwanted Activity..... Lol

I have had a look around, google Actinovate, and amongst many positive reports, this one is positively gushing
