Old Reviews Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect

The FDA hasn't approved it for sale in the US yet, so only available from Canada. I understand it should be approved in the US soon. I heard somewhere by March. I got mine but unfortunately it won't work in the rain water I use. It's base pH is over 8.5, beyond their recommended range.

That's not actually true. First off, it's available in quite a few states now.

Second, I'm pretty sure the FDA doesn't have anything to do with it. It's each state's Department of Agriculture that makes the decision IIRC.

If it were just one government agency it would be relatively simple to jump through all the hoops and red tape. In the US you have to deal with 50 different agencies, one for each state. Technically it's not quite that hard since some of the states aren't much trouble compared to the rest (so if you can meet, say Florida's requirements some of the other states are more lenient and will be happy as well.)

It's only guaranteed to work with RO water, btw.

If it were available here in the US I'm sure some enterprising / mercinary mowfo would be pimping it on Ebay by now!!! I'm 20 miles from Ca-na-da and its the last thing I would want to bring across because it would raise too many ?'s Saw that place gave fre shipping on orders over $750 someone would wanna invest that kinda benji-greens into bringing it in and reselling no?

YEa its at my local store in CA. I heard that to place an order for your store, you have to spend atleast $15,000. Or they charge you a higher price or no free shipping or something. Kinda forgot what the owner at my local store said but I remember those guys at AN are all about money.

Yea talked to my local shop about it and they wanted him to spend 25k on his first order just to carry the product! That's just unrealistic for a small mom & pop hydro store!

Yea exactly. My buddy's shop is small too. And I think he said they make you buy some of their other products that aren't nutrients

I got my AN nutes awhile back and didn't have any success in getting them to properly adjust the rain water I use. I had kind of given up on them till I could get an RO setup going when I started having trouble pHing my GO nutes. I decided to calibrate my pH meter and lo and behold, my electrode was bad. So all of the reading I got while testing the AN nutes were off. Got a new electrode and now things are looking much better.

I mixed up two gallons of rain water to feed my Samurai Jacks. The initial pH was 7.1 and the ppm was 18. I added 1 1/2 ml of cal/mag to raise the ppm to 132. After adding 1/2 strength parts A and B of bloom, the two jugs were sitting at 6.4 and 6.3. I'm also going to test some spring and well water as backup sources for those times in the summer when rain water gets short. I'm expecting that they should both work equally as well.

The SJs won't be a true test since they are already 14 weeks into their grow. But I just started some Ghaze x Diesel last week and will be using it on them. I'm hoping my results will be similar to what Jackal has gotten. That would make me a very happy boy!

If the ph perfect was working correctly wouldnt it bring the ph to 5.8 like in the video? Just curios. Glad it adjusted ur ph to a useable range =)

Kind of in the same spot right now,

Used it on my ss#1 thats half way done and she likes it

Have some i potted up on the 13th that i just started feeding @ 1/4 strength and they are looking way better than all my previous ones so far

I don't have a meter to see what it adjusts my water to but just by looking at how my plants are reacting i know its working..lol

Well rain water isn't RO water. I would expect it to work the same, but he also put in some Cal-Mag so there's no telling what that would do to the pH Perfect nutrients.

The simple fact is that if you don't use them the way you're supposed to you can't blame the nutrients if they don't perform the way you want them to.
