Ok, guys. I'm a bit conflicted here. I'm an amateur when it comes to this topic so hopefully you can point me in the right direction. I recently purchased the Hipargero 1200w cob LED light. It ran me about $250. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/LED-Grow-Light-Spectrum-Lighting/dp/B07HH2FNW9/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=hipargero+1200w+cob&qid=1564182927&s=gateway&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1 (It's not showing the 1200w model, maybe because I snagged the last one)

My problem is I recently stumbled across another light which is an AGLEX 1200w cob LED. I noticed it was $100 dollars less than the light I purchased, plus has a 3 year warranty whereas the hipargero only has 1. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/AGLEX-Spectrum-Reflector-Hydroponic-Greenhouse/dp/B07F7TVKGW/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=aglex+1200+cob&qid=1564182793&s=gateway&sr=8-2

Am I missing something? Is there a reason why the AGLEX light is 100 dollars cheaper? I'm not really up to par with this technology yet. I'm debating on whether or not to return the Hipargero for the AGLEX.

Thanks, everyone.

What is the ACTUAL power draw, i.e. from the wall?

Led suppliers always claim big numbers on the packaging, but often the actual power is nowhere near it.

Compare the two in the specs for your first possible reason?
I'm Not familiar with these two brands, but one might actually be better made, hence the price.

EDIT - HIPARGERO 1200 is 360w true.

AGLEX 1200 is ~210w average draw. It also only has two cobs and the rest is made up with led diodes, whereas the hipa is higher quality cree/osram leds, and 6 cobs.

On paper, the hipa is a much better product from my brief research:-)

Mattskee, the light I purchased draws 360 watts from the wall, whereas the Aglex pulls 210
I saw that! Divide your actual watts/dollars and you'll see they're much closer. You getbqhat you pay for, the agelex seems like a shitty cheap product.

Yeah I was thinking that too, but the reviews are good. I'm conflicted. I don't know much about LED specs to determine which is better. Is the larger power draw a possible reason it's more expensive?

Yea it means it's giving your plants more power! I bought a 1000w light that actually only drew 82w...

There is so much rubbish in the LEDS that it really pays to d ok a LOT of research.

To be honest, Quantum Boards are the way to go these days!

I'd refund your light and invest your money elsehwe if you can afford it and if you have time...

I personally use exclusively the dead cheap led floodlights you can get in a diy store. I use a 30w 6000k piece for the seedlings, then progress to a 100w 4000k piece for vegetation and finally add 2 pieces of 100w 3000k for flowering (sometimes I start straight with the 3000k pieces and not use the rest). For a ridiculously cheap price I get super crops in weight, smell, taste, potency and bag appeal. I shop in my local Greek sites and stores, but for you to get an idea I post this link (which I find expensive) https://www.ebay.com/itm/10W-20W-30...rden-Security-Light-220V-/122366595601?_ul=GR
For my amateur grows in a 90X90X160cm tent they are super. Many commercial growers that I know, also use this kind of lights (of course more pieces and wattage). I honestly think that they are more effective than the very expensive led lights that people waste their money into - I have tried many of these too. Certainly the result is much better in quality compared to hps and the quantity is a bit more than hps.
