New Grower Afghan Kush Ryder VS Pakistan Ryder

I've seen that a few people have grown these two varieties from world of seeds, but i'm unclear on the real differences between them...

I'd love to hear some input from those who've grown both or either and see which one is a better investment of time and money for those who haven't grown either yet.


I'm going to try to add a poll to gather votes and get an official "winner"

I LOVE PakRyder, and it's definitely a very potent strain. I'm growing an AKR right now, and while it's got a reputation of being problematic, everything is fine around 1 month into the grow. I have not smoked AKR, but I have tried the photo WOS Afghan Kush. Straight up hash flavor and smell, while the PR is a more woody, cedar type of taste/smell. Potency was very similar, but I'd give the edge to PR since the AK mostly just made me sleepy. Muddy is a big Pakistan Ryder fan, and I think he's grown AKR also. Hopefully he'll chime in.

I just got done with my AKR and Pakistan grow.

Personally, My pakistan is going quicker then my AKR. I cant explain the high but after a couple snaps it really took over my body.
The AKR was a good smoke also! Dont get me wrong, but i think if I were to grow 1 of the 2 it would be the Pakistan


(and the paki had a nice sweet smell to it also.)

Interesting.... from reading the post i'd think Pak ryder was the clear winner, but the votes are 50/50. only 4 votes thou. with time i hope more people chime in I didn't put a close date on the poll so as more people grow they can chime in too. i haven't voted since i haven't grown or sampled either yet but someday, soon i hope, but i think my next two grows of auto's are already set up.

Afghan !!!

Afghan was superior in many aspects compare to the paki !m done with the paki! Hope to get more afghan soon !
