Greetings to all of you lovely LED growers,

I'd like to ask if LED floodlights work for growing? I've seen them around where I live and they range from 50-400 WATTS. They look similar to those:

Similar to those 50 watt ones, also available in both colors and higher watteges.

Cheers

Yes they work, sadly not very good.
The usual problems with floods is lower than rated consumption, excess heat, low lumens and penetration and not so good efficency. Also they break a lot.

I was thinking of this approach for some time when the prices were lower but then decided for a bigger investment in DIY cree cob lights. Now I'm very happy I made that decision.

Maybe if you need a veg light, the floods are not so bad for the job.
