Indoor Air pots - worth it? And what size for a small grow?

I find Airpots, regards of the size produce more bushy plants that yield much better than square/round pots, I assume this is down the root pruning. Square pots I find plants tent to have bigger internode space and not as well developed.

I've done side by side grows with airpots and the fabric pruining pots, the airpots always faired better ;) my biggest complaint with them though was dealing with gnats, ended up using pantyhose and solved that problem... I also have to strongly agree with just in regards to the larger pots being hard to control screw up etc...
I have grown monsters in very small 1lt air pots! I've found I like the 2gal and three gal air pots for autos but also the 1gallons are perfect size for running with coco (coco=smaller pot needed)
This next round of plants I just picked up Plant Warrior pots, same idea of air pruining but these pots are solid on the sides with an Inverted cone in the bottom
Easier to look at pic :) here is a link to 1gal one

Thinking if I run into the gnat issue again it will be easier to control them with these kind of pots.... May do a side by side with a gal airpot vs a gal
Plant warrior pot.... Not sure the liter size but the red and yellow bottoms ones for the airpots will do more than fine! Best of luck brother! And besides airpots may be a bit pricey initially but I've used the same pots over and over again for the past two years!

Thanks for all the responses guys, seeing as I'm still pretty new to growing and I'm still getting my head around it all, I may opt for the 6L air pots this time around if they are going to be easier for a newbie to deal with, although I sort of like the idea of growing one monster plant in there instead, plus this would make the 4 seeds I have left go further if I can get a similar yield from one plant instead of two, hmmm decisions haha

Hey cantus why not try to make your own air pots all u need is a drill and a pot works well for me and cost nothing

No that wont work my friend. That only gives you a pot with a lot of holes in it...

I took a large drill bit to my 4 and 5 gallon buckets and left a few without. Complete night and day difference in how fast the pots dry out between those with holes and those without. Are they as good as air pots? :dunno:I have never grown in air pots so I have no idea.

But in my opinion from actually trying it myself and observing the difference between them, I think there are definitely gains to drilling holes in them versus leaving them. If you're broke but own a drill and don't plan on having a need to hold water in various gallon amounts, drill away brother!

1 plant in 15lt sounds best to me for your situations. Don't be put off by it being harder because it isn't you just have to keep in mind that bigger pots doesn't nessasarly mean you water alot more just a bit. I find the first 2-3weeks just take it easy and water just what it needs and once your past that stage you can water till run off occurs

Just wondering if running 24/7 continuous drip feed with clay ball medium does it matter about the size?

Im thinking of setting up 1lt airpots the same as the below pic so the roots will be able to dangle in the res.
Keen to hear any feedback

Your roots will will run out of space in a small pot bro and inhibit he growth if the plant.

Im thinking of it as a hempy style dwc hybrid,
if looking at it like a raised netpot, do you think the roots at the bottom being submerged in the res 24/7 would compensate for the small pot and give it dwc like growth?
thanks heaps
