Airdome without Autopots?

Can i Grow with Airdome in Airpots without a Autopot System? Maybe I will Grow soon with Autopots but I am interested in the Airdome Tek too do you recommended this Technik?
nope. not with Autopots, not with other pots. Not necessary, and not much if any benefit when peeps try to test their effectiveness. I would not bother.

Just my two cents of course, some other growers like them. Good luck with it. :pighug:

You mean not wirh other pots only Autopots? You recommended Autopots?

He means don't bother with airstones or airdomes in autopots and normal containers unless you really want to as it has little to no benefit and if you want to use it, it won't cause issues. Some people look at it as pointless. For me i would do it if the airpumps were not loud and wattage i would do it.

Not with any type of pot. I don't believe that they accomplish much, and have read somewhere that overdoing the air supply can actually do more damage than good.

I like autopots for the ease and effectiveness of the irrigation cycle, but not for the difficulty of keeping salt nutes under control. Because they do not cause runoff, nutes tend to build up and/or get out of balance due to the absence of the bit of flushing that happens with each top watering to runoff. My next grow will be living soil to see if I can get through a grow with water only from the aqua valves.

Happy growing mate, whatever way you do it. :pighug:

Tag me when you start that living soil autopot grow as i want to know how that goes.

I will attempt to remember to do that. But the grey hair you know... :pighug:

Also, AutoPots work welll without all the valves, tubing, reservoir, etc. Just manually fill the individual pot reservoirs. I did this successfully with multiple grows in the past, and am currently doing this with several XL Autopot bases each holding an appropriate sized (#3/yellow bottom) Air-Pot.

Manual use allows allows more intensive and longer wet-to-less damp media/soil cycling than the automated filling (relatively that is; still don't let dry out much for real), such as can fill 1x/day. You can let the reservoir get and remain empty for whatever period, which can't be done with the automated filling. I found that the automated filling keeps the plants perpetually too damp, with insufficient wet-less damp cycling (in coco/perlite).

I never even thought about that as an option, thanks for sharing! i'll have to try that once i slow down and can focus on 1-2 plants
