I grow micro, using a 150w spiral CFL + reflector, in a 1.3 x 1.3 x 2.6ft tent.(that's 40cm x 40 cm x 80 cm)
So far I have been using a 2 gallon (8.1 Liters) squared plastic bucket, and LST, to keep as many budsites as close to the bulb as possible. The plants did stretch , but manageable, roots were circling the bottom at harvest time.
My next strain is going to be Sweet Seeds Green Poison Auto, and I got myself one of those root pruning Airpots.
it's a 10 liter one, or 2.6 gallons. I cut the top because they are rather tall than wide, now it can hold a maximum of 7 liters (1.9 gallons).
I don't know how much soil to add to get a not too tall plant - despite LST, at one point the main stem becomes too rigid to bend anymore and shoots straight up, leaving me with a fair share of popcorn buds, that's CFL penetration for ya'

I'm thinking that the Airpot will benefit a larger mass of roots and therefore plant will grow taller, maybe I'm wrong? What do you think, how much soil should I use, does the foot of plant growth per gallon still apply?
