Hello, I was wondering if anyone is having problems with your airpot taking up the feed/water runoff? I have a standard plastic runoff tray that has small ridges (X) in the tray, and it isnt looking like it is taking up the runoff!! Any thoughts ???
I don't let my plants suck up the excess runoff that winds up in the tray,i use the trays to collect a test sample for runoff ph/ppm and the excess goes down the sink. If i remember correct i read somewhere it isn't good to let your plants suck the nutes up out of the tray-i could be wrong don't take my word on that.

Thats VERY Interesting !! I always thought you wereto let it suck the run off up!! Maybe thats why my last grow got screwed up!! If you find the link to what you were saying PLEASE send it to me!!
That info was something i saw a long time past now-if you google search it you'll find plenty of reasons you shouldn't do it. If your gettin more then 10% runoff in your trays your watering too much. You want your pots to dry out in between waterings for optimum growth and good root health which you can't do if your leaving water in your runoff trays.Standing water is also a gnat magnet as well as a few other little beasties.General practice is to mix your nutes, pour them thru the pot, grab a sample of therunoff for testing, and let the rest drain out.Hope that helps.
Well you learn somthing new everyday!! :check: THANKS alot for helping a newbie!!! Ive done a few outdoors but this is my 2nd indoor grow and my first didnt turn out as good as i thought. THANKS Again Phoenix and Squid
