Indoor AKR and Pineapple Express - Cheap git test

latest update - both coming along nicely, the pics are from yesterday (currently my dark period so cant take new ones).

This one is the pineapple express, I used the paper towel method to germinate, she then popped her head out of the soil approx three days from putting in paper towel. Significantly smaller than the AKR, even though there is really only three days difference.




This is the AKR; I didnt germinate her, I just popped her in soil and went on holiday for 5 days. She took 6 days to pop her head out of the soil. As you can see she is much bigger, not sure if this is because of the germination method used, or just because she is 3 days older.



Both today are about 30% bigger than the pics above.. I am also currently running 20/4 light/dark cycle, with my dark cycle at the same time as the hottest part of the day.

Temps are extremely stable at the minute; ambient temperature outside has been around 26-28c, inside the box is only 1 degrees more than ambient with the fan barely on.

Only watered once since moving them into the bigger pots, that was about 4 days ago - think they will probably go another 4 days at least before needing more water.

Its to bad about the Super Skunk, I was excited to watch,as it was one of my first autos and used it to cross to a dragon, turned out to my favorite of the crosses I made. The super skunk is an easy plant and fun to grow with a great yield, got almost 3 zips using a 3 gal air pot. Will be fun watching the other two though, for sure. :thumb:

thanks yodabuds - I did manage to grow a superskunk (2nd grow I ever did), but was stunted and ill looking all the way through (managed about 2/3 oz) - however this was one of the ones with my biobizz nutes and soil which I could never get to work. still tasted nice and was strong

The temps in the UK have decided to sky rocket yesterday and today, found ambient temp at 32c outside the box; so have resorted to putting a 2litre bottle of frozen water in front of the air inlet and circulation fans at 8:30am in the morning, my dark cycle starts at 1pm until 5pm.... have also found that the slower extract fan speed keeps the box cooler so far it has peaked at 29.9c yesterday.

new pics, they are about 2 weeks old today... AKR is the bigger one and Pineapple Express the other - they have at least doubled in size since the last post.

I watered them earlier today - they took about a liter each, I also put a .5ml/l of the nutes in since the soil is pretty crap and supposed to be for seedlings.

the temperatures outside are still insane, although with my frozen water bottle strategy the max temp inside the box peaked at 28.6c today.

for me they are the healthiest looking plants I have grown to date; and one or both of them are starting to smell really nice, which is odd given their age.

It is currently keeping the box 2c below ambient.

Ur temp/lv readings are false,
THE Lights are shining strait on ur thermometer wich wil result in a false readout.
Try covering it of against direct light on ur thermometer

thanks grow weed, just did that and same result, temps go down with the frozen water in and up when not... also temps go up when I open the grow room door.

I guess its all just relative - and the plants are looking well enough

I just want to say thank you for suggesting this, I have tested the thermo covered for the day, and it is stable at 4c below outside ambient.. thank you.

Will check later what it is holding at without the frozen water.
