Hello yall, lets cut to the chase. I seen something on my lady that I have outside and it looked yellow, three or so eyes and was at the tip top of my plant. My other concern is my baby that I have inside that I take outside occasionally has a couple pistils that look reddish brown and are not sticking up. I have her under a 600w Old style Mars Hydro LED. The plant still looks great but from what I see, out of all the pistils, there are two of these that look like this, please reference pictures and let me know what you think. Thank you in advance.

Looks like a spider to me, SK, maybe a crab spider. Harmless to plants. They like to hunt from the tops of flowers:

I'm not sure what I'm seeing in the second pic. It's normal for pistils to turn reddish-brown and wither. How old is the plant and is that green furry thing some kind of tie-back, a pipe cleaner or similar?

:cool1: Straight', you got yourself a baby jumping spider-- I know those eyes anywhere- ... 8 of them actually, but different sizes and placements; the specialized large forward facing eyes are for superior depth perception, which they need for accurate jumping and attack,...:eyebrows: ...helpful verminators, harmless to us, and they don't build webs! **** Pistils are fine bro', as the calyx ages, those pistils shut down, drying and changing color,... those, located at the base of stem nodes, are the preflowers, the oldest on on the plant, so are first to brown out....
>> Canna, still among the coolest pics of crab spiders I've seen! :d5: What was the name of that flower again?
