Ok so this is what I got. I'm doing a recirculating dwc that I've made myself .. Works really good, it consist of 3 five gallon buckets 2 of which hold plants the center bucket holds that pump inside as well as a bubble stone which is in all buckets of course and the pump goes into a chiller to keep the water at 68 degrees, since I couldn't keep my air temp where I wanted it. My plants sit under a 300 watt LED and have two pioneer 100 watt four bulb florescents with mixed veg and bloom bulbs hanging vertical on each side.. As for the strains I'm using, I ordered auto hijack (would love to hear about this strain if anybody else has used it) and it came with one auto blueberry for free.... So I thought what the hell I'll do one hijack and the blueberry seed just to see the difference but didn't go like I hoped. First mistake I made was not checking the ph ( failed to mention I'm using sensi grow and bloom which is supposed to be ph perfect) but either way I didn't check it and both started out nice but then as I adjusted the ppms more and more I quickly realized that hijack being more sativa can handle a much greater ppm than the blueberry so I had to chose one and since I enjoy a sativa much more I decided to keep the ppms up.. So here I am at the four week mark and my hijack is around 13 inches my poor blueberry is about four inches.. Also have learned that autos don't handle stress well. Well this is what I'm into. Any advice is always appreciated. Also should I do a pk spike and if so when?

Also here is my journal so far...

Welcome to AFN Just, glad to see another DWC grower come to the community. First of all pictures always help us diagonse any problems that you may be experincing. PH is in my opinion the most important thing to make sure you have correct all the time. No matter what nutrients you use and how pH perfect they are(it seems as though you have found this out already) always check your pH.

As for adding a PK booster or bloom nutrients in general, the most common practice here on AFN is to wait until the vertical growth slows down or stops before starting with Bloom nutrients or PK boosters.

Again pictures would help tremendously. Also you should stop by the introductions forum and say hi to all the AFN veterans it helps everyone to get to know you. Sending good grow Karma your way for sure

Yea another mistake I've made that I've just learned about I gave them bloom nutes after they showed the sex.. To late to switch back??

I would just go ahead and continue with the bloom nutes as the plants have already started into flower mode, with autos its like they are on a clock so you can't turn it back you just have to try and dial in your nutes for where the plant is in it's life cycle.

Like right now I am having to play catch up because I waited about 3 or 4 days too long to start feeding my little ladies, so I am getting the nutes dialed in for where they should be at the start of week 2(around 400 PPMs I also use the feeding chart you have as a rough guide but I mainly let my plants tell me what I need to do to them. Hope this helps

Welcome to AFN just! I am not a dwc grower, but if you need help, the hydro threads are most helpful and the guys and gals there will get you sorted! Good luck!

Welcome to the greatest Auto-Flower forum known to man.. I've seen a problem with the D.W.C. before the guy said it's no problem to maintain and keep healthy yes PH is a must but rising the nute/water/flush level high up the root near the stock is was key. where it ended up was the next report was confirmed a revived situation with all healthy limbs and leaves so if you have not tried that then go to medgrower1 on youtube peace.

Hello there,

Welcome to AFN, sorry I can't help with the DWC thang but as a humble penguin, if it aint in soil, I'm lost. But there are some real top notch DWC guru's around the office, so I'm sure one or more will come to your aid.

Enjoy, eP.
