The story of gunk may soon be coming to an end I loved gunk so! I am not sure now if my crop was hit by a rogue hermies, the fem kvs pollen(maybe?), or it was one of my reg beans that dropped. Gunk is looking to be either a male or a hermie... I will let it go for another week or so and see... Either way its not suitable to introduce into a breeding project. such high hopes for auto gunk.....
Wish I knew what gunk was... Is gunk possibly indeed a kvs fem cross that due to stress hermied, or if it was the other two options.... Can risk poor genetics.... Will keep you all posted...

Hey yoda if you come to the conclusion that its a male. I actually had an assassin male reverse to female when I sprayed it with colloidal silver and got some seeds that are both male and female and no hermies yet. Doesn't hurt to at least try after getting some pollen. This is what happened and i believe how it happened. All autos are derived from ruderalis, ruderalis plants are hermies from my findings anyway. Could be wrong im actually trying to create a number one as i found a Rudy growing randomly in my yard. Any how if this is true there genes are always able to produce Both sexes. Every plant that has Rudy as a base i.e auto flowers in theory can easily reverse to any sex male or female. NOW I COULD BE COMPLETELY WRONG AND IF SO PLEASE CORRECT ME. These are just my personal findings from researching them.

Now in theory what i believed happened to mine reversing from male to female is, after i got to a of pollen. I decided as a test i would then spray the male to see if its possible for a male to create female pollen. and yes it did kinda work. Only after spraying for 3 weeks to get new pollen from it after it had been consistently s
prayed. Well the process works on females by it up taking the silver instead of copper therefore blocking the female hormone to be created. While in flower. When I quite spraying 2.5 weeks later i noticed pistols.

I say grow it out (if it's feasible) and see what happens...maybe give making a few clones a shot and try a few options. i not only want to see what happens, i want to get some beans (even x'd) if this comes true. almost wish you left it in the drain...good luck!

HYSTERICAL! Gunk 1 not only was a male he was killed. Well lo and behold another gunk has paid a visit!

I think the reason this occurs periodically at this particular sink is cause it's the only
Place in the entire house I will smoke cigs and canna.... Lol almost use the sink like one big ashtray.... Don't do anything in there else other than brush hair (which is a little on the longer side) so I think the hair in the drain clogs it enough and than a seed falls in from where I was breaking the canna and it must get "trapped" there....

I pulled this one out very easily:.. And just threw her into a little dirt to see if she makes it.
If survives I plan on growing it out and seeing what it is... NO MORE intentions of using in a breeding program... Don't know what I was thinking other than to say I wasn't and that please all never take to much of what I say serious. So , yea please follow along again and see what happens.... It's either a black jack auto. A afghani milk/purple chem, or a purple chem... Nothing else was seeded last crop and the things that were were for a reason and wasn't many at all (just did a few branches, figuring no one single person needs 100's of the same seed, single branch and partial pollination is where it's at.) Though my harvest was taken down so quickly and nothing was separated so again ANOTHER batch of I don't knows which is fine with me, I like surprises....
So will see what happens... Not going to be able to give really any attention as I got the big girls to take care of a nurture.

i think what you noticed was a male hermie , silver blocks ethylene needed for plants to produce female flowers

im assuming you have never seen a male hermie ? ive had males hermie so bad from a distance you would think they were females , but all through veg they showed pre flowers of male and early flowering were completely male , then about 1/3rd of the way through flowering poof a ton of pistils , i actually used one to breed with (BIG MISTAKE AND WASTE OF TIME) it never flowered the female parts past pistils (no buds) and continued male flowering profusely

anyway yeah silver blocks the female hormone

edit , when useing c.s , you are blocking ethylene production in a "female" plant , therfore it has no choice but to flower male flowers , however the plant is female not male , it passes on only the female chromosome , thats why you get your female seeds

to me it only makes sence that if you spray any plant you will block ethylene , so how can you turn said plant into a female ?

no female hormone no female
