I am doing a first grow and I went with a coco/perlite mix in fabric geopots. I amended the medium with a composted manure, EWC, an organic generic powder basically. I wanted to keep it simple.
My plants are not doing that great to be frank. I did deal with some issues that helped turn things around like up potting, making some organic teas with zymes in it. And my plants do look pretty healthy, but small and I suspect maybe they were stunted in veg from some stress.
They are flowering now, but they are growing so slow. I did LST and have good bud sites. And I have good PH around 6.2 all thru the grow. And my HPS lights are good. And I have good aeration. And I don't hand water now. I have a sub irrigation SIP watering DIY going now and my plants seem to be self watering nicely.
So after looking at so many aspects of my grow, I am left wondering if maybe my TLO recipe is lacking the right feed in it. Can I use a TDS meter and just capture some runoff and measure it and be able to trust the reading and maybe make a determination on if my recipe had enough feed in it?
