Ok, so I hear a bit of chat about Amsterdam and I thought it would be cool to start a thread based on your experiences of the Dam. I have been twice. And will no doubt do again. Soon.

I have some good stories and recollections but I will let you go first. So, what are your Amsterdam stories ???

come on...leave your inhibitions aside... you are among friends here and of course we don't know your real identity. So, let rip and give us your tales of debauchery !

cheers, eP

First time that I ever paid a rest room attendant at a Macdonalds.

I was there for a few days this summer.
The places I liked were barneys coffeeshop, hunters coffeeshop, and a place called wonderbar which is a bar where you can bring your own weed or hash, drink a few beers, roll a spliff, or hire one of the giant hookas they have there

Well i lived i Dam from 2012 till february this year it was a wicked Time over there. Met a lot of Guys from the Industry and Music Bizzness there. But after certain Time you really get bored of the Coffeshops and see that its mostly a Tourist ting. At least in Amsterdam

I haven't been to Amsterdam in 20 years or so but i'll be there next month. Anyone know the current status of the laws permitting sales of weed to tourists? I'm hoping to try a few coffeehouses. Any suggestions?

Coffee shops still sell tourists whatever they want mate. Was there 4 weeks ago. Laws havent changed yet and dont really think they will. But they do want to half the amount of coffee shops sex shows etc. To clean up the image of the city.
P.s go to the cannabis college if you get the chance its in the red light district. Great guys in there who love to educate about cannabis and even have a small grow garden in the basement you can pay a couple of euros to see

Ohh Amsterdam!, what a beauty...it's not only
the coffeeshops, the beer, the architecture, people..
First time there, I went to the De Rokerij, had some amazing Super Silver Haze with my wife, couldn't find our way back to the Hotel!! This is a fancy coffeeshop, full of locals, not that many tourists, highly recommended.
One of my favorite coffeeshops there is Amnesia, tried some brownies and a fantastic White Widow.
The smartshops are another attraction! with all the variety of shrooms...I left that pending for next time LOL!

Sadly De Rokerij is closed since 2012 cause they had issiues with the Financial Office. Also Mellow Yellow one of the traditional ones has closed the doors at the 1st of January :( The new rules in the Netherlands which start 1st of March will be hard for the whole Coffeshop Scene. As its illegal to grow and even if you order Seeds or Equipment or Growing You face up to 3 yrs Jailtime... even the Postman do if he delivers you such Items.
