I do not mean to derail the thread but, I have to state that I am currently a member of several different genre's of forums at the moment and this board has just earned the place of most respectable and intelligent discussion/debate. You guys rock! I am hooked.

Great posts since this morning. I never have thought that time and space were contant. I they were then light would not be in a state of near stasis as it left one star and is observed in another. This statement might sound cliche to those that enjoy Star Trek but I think while the speed of light may be constant, the speed of a vaccum (space) is not and can be manipulated given the proper understanding and technology. WARP SPEED ENGAGE =)

But JM, how do you figure they're longitudinal? Would that be interpreted as "running along the axis of a body"? In the case of planet Earth, from the equator running north and at the same time from the equator running south?
I'm definitely gonna need variable space and time to get my head wrapped around this.
I just checked with our beloved Wikipedia and found that Gravitational Waves still radiate outward from their source.

What about the double slit expieriment. For those who don't know, a machine was set up to fire one photon at a time. It was stainary and so sent it's photon to the same place every time. It's target was a photografic plate placed behind a sheet of metal foil. A slit was made in the foil where the photon would hit. A photon was fired and guess what, it hit exactly were it was supposed to, making a dot behind the slit. Simple newtonian phyics so far right? Without moving anything another slit was made in the foil. A photon was fired in exactly the same place and now, it was not behind either slit! Wait a minute. If you did not move anything it should hit the same place. Besides, how did it even know about the other slit? The photon was moving at the speed of light, so there was not any time for the information about the other slit to reach it to influence it's direction. Even more crazy, how the hell did it Not be behind either? Did it bend? This expeiriment has been done by every phyics magor and always has the same result. Einstein said therefore there must be particules that travel faster than C and he called them tachions. He only invented them to explain this one thing. Now we say the photon was part of an interference pattern. But what was interfering with it? So was born the theroy of the multi-verse, crazy as hell yet seams to be true!

and is... supposedly the russians have developed this technology... using scalar waves and phase conjugation... which brings us to that....

thank you for pointing this one out... fits perfect into our discussion.

but i think we should really discuss all the electromagnetic theory above so everyone has a clear understanding... the 6 videos are worth your time... even if you only understand some of what he is talking about with Energy / RF Theory and resonance.

yes and go ahead and explain it in conventional science... sure with "Controls" right?
but if your control is variable... you only SEE it as a constant...

in that 6 video set... vid 4 in the first minute explains the longitudinal wave.
