Hello friends:tiphat: Im having a bit of a dilema......my plant is at least couple of weeks away from harvest i think maybe closer to 3 weeks and i got some airbuds at the bottom that are pretty new and i dont see them really getting much bigger by the time its finished. Im wondering if there would be any benefit to removing these just now? There are between 2-4 that look as if they are a waste of time.

The reason i want to know this is because i don't have any weed and would like to try a little bit of her before harvest but i can't bring myself to cut her for that selfish reason alone and would only consider doing so if there was a benefit to the plant like the buds at the top getting more energy/nutes and being bigger etc....

Is there any benefit to this or should i just leave her the way she is and excercise self control? Thats all i really want to know just now lol. Thanks for your time and have a great weekend!

I pull them all the time. Don't know about it helping, but it never seems to hurt. I like a taste now and then too

Go ahead and remove them. I always remove anything on the bottom and towards the main stem that is well shaded and probably won't fully mature.

I leave them but doesn't hurt to pluck them if you're out of herb, by all means go for it :) I do usually find them to be really "speedy" just as a warning, but some might like that feeling :) to quick dry them, it's common to put em on top of a reflector or ballast, or in the oven on really low, like 100 or 150 F. I've even rigged up a little aluminum foil cover over the top of a small bedside lampshade and put a little bud on it, was smokeable in a few hours :)

I think removing the lowest growth is beneficial. You can also quick dry your popcorn with a vaporizer, just keep the temperature under 120 (just to be sure) and set the fan on max, works on Volcano and arizer extreme-Q.

Thanks for the input i feel confident enough to remove a couple now and not feel guilty like i just amputated somebodys fingers lol.Just removed some of the smallest/newst ones just from the bottom some of the others actualy felt kinda chunky despite their small size and coated in trichromes so i've left them there for now. Got some tinfoil on a heater. I have gas central heating its hot to touch but not to the extreme i can keep my hand on it for like 10 seconds lol. Poked some holes in it aswell so some of the hot air can travel up through the buds/leafs. feels really sticky and was stinking as i was manipulating the plant and picking them out. I need to buy one of those ceramic things for putting trim into so that i can stick butane through it and get the oil would be much easier for small amounts like this or more hassel than its worth? Those little calyx's on the main stem with nothing but branches around them......should i just pick those off? They are just single entities and have been there for ages now i cant see them getting any bigger either there are a pair of them at each node on the plant where the branches sprout out.

I don't think the single calyxes along the stems matter much, put them in a salad. :)

Im really stoned now. Weed doesnt taste bad at all it tastes earthy and natural and burns to a white ash in my bong bowl. Burns fast too! Can't wait to try the finished product!(but i'll have to lol):Hookah:

I like early. Had some chemdog I pulled early last night and had shots of good polish vodka and it was a perfect combination

And a perfect hangover :)
