Have scrapped last 2 grows because the plants seemed to be growing stunted. Im not running autos but photos by the way. Plants just seem to be growing really mini like. Anyway this time round i thought id use freebies to try see if the problem was my ec stick being off. cleaned the ec stick and ph pen and both are on point. I have 2 clones currently in flower in my 250w tent looking fine so im guessing this is an enviro problem??? any ideas what would cause plants to grow mini and small? showing no signs of heat stress or cold stress. im in coco and just potted up they have been given an ec of 0.7 and ph was at 5.9. I can already see a root on 1 pot hole and theyve only been potted up 2 days. Its just they seem to be growing really small in structure.

Having grown both photos & autos, I've found that photos are much slower compared to autos.
Need to post more details about your grow environment by the way; temps, nutrient line & anything else you can think of before anybody can help you.

M8 am not bein a smart ass here but y not just get back to autos?? Quicker and from wat iv read much more forgiving.. have u grown photos before? Personally I'd give up on the photos after 2 scrapped efforts..

Perhaps a silly question.
Are you familiar with the genetics? I am always amazed at the difference. I have one that is almost 21/2 ft tall and another that's only about 12 inches and both were started at the same time.
Details would be helpful in figuring out what may be happening.

:Sharing One:two plants of the same strain, can lean in one direction or another......more than one pheno can come out.
hybrid crosses, (sativa indica) can go in either direction, and be sativa dom or indica dom. even plants that are dominant by percentage ie... 70% sativa 30% indica , can still go indica and be much shorter. hope this helps.

Hi guys, cheers for the replies. I don't wanna go back to autos as I prefer the stronger genetics. It's just something not right. Have ordered a new tent which should be here before Friday. Gonna put half these lot under the 600
w and the other half I will move to a cupboard which I have used before in the past. Will see how they pick up then. Pissed right off with it all tbh but can't quit growing and go back to buying weed.

I disagree that autos are faster. I can run a photo the same amount of time as some of these autos and get the same weight. To me, the light. Cycle forgiveness is the thing autos have that photos don't
You mentioned wattage, but not the spectrum, as in HPS or MH, or whatever you might be using.
It could be the color temp which is stunting your plants... something high, like around 6500K (daylight-type, or more blue MH), as opposed to a more "orange" HPS... the further towards "blue", or higher temp number, will (or can) cause more "stunt-like" growth, particularly in autos.
At least in my humble experience of growing many thousands of autos in the past eight or so years.
