Once mine outgrew them I got rid of them, I wanted them to get use to the light I have and it's natural environment. Mine are two weeks and I "think" they are blowing up. Today is two week, I'm gonna post some pics today.

DE is crushed shell, I'm pretty sure. I use it. I love it. It's also great for outdoor garbage cans, to keep the flies from breeding.

DE- diatomaceous earth, comes from the glass-like "shells" of marine single cell algae, layed down as a sediment,... look up diatoms, and you'll see what I mean! The "shells" are structurally amazing in complexity, and usually are very jagged and pointy, like broken glass artwork or something on the micro-scale! It dessicates, and I believe it gets into their tender areas, piercing and cutting, making them bleed out basically,.. ingested, it cuts their guts up just like crushed glass would to us! The dunks have a bacterium in it that when ingested, destroys their guts,.. I find it persists for several weeks before retreating, if needed at all,...
