So had some issues with heat, did a bunch of different things didnt work out to well. I got a window AC, and made a box to pump ac into the tent. Didnt want to cut a hole in the tent case I need to move it else where.

My issue is now heh.. again with issues... is water builds up from it getting pretty damn cold or hot and cold, builds up on my 4 inch ducting and on the box its self, leaks on the ground. Atm I am pretty dry on ideas any input would be great heh.

Must be some cold air lol maybe try adding a more powerful inline extractor fan so it would pull the cold air naturally instead of through the ducting.. how big is your grow room/tent and what cfm is your extractor? I used to have heat issues with my old 600w HID, it was cuz my extractor was too weak.

I used to run ac in my tent. Nothing other then emptying the water trap once in awhile. I never had issues otherwise. My two cents. . You r ac will suck and blow untreated air though..

I thought about buying an inline fan, having it a few inches from the AC unit and trying to pull, not sure if it would work out as well as I hope though lol :P

Yeah, think a water trap be hard to add, just a weird space sadly. As for the untreated air that is one of the down falls. So stuck between tent heating up to the 90s, or the air =/ I gotta pick what I hope the be the lesser of two evils :P I'm using LED and a 8 bulb T5. Have the hot air being sucked out of the room, but still deal with heat issues :P

So atm, I opened a flap, trying to chill room to 73, and having a fan blowing air through the flap into the tent. But like to find a more permit fix, as this is messy and just gets in the way.

My temps have raised significantly in the past few weeks, not sure how I'll make it through summer but I'm going to try!

Good luck with a solution.

Just be wary with AC units bro, they work like a treat but some use a LOT of power and it all adds up on the monthly electricity bills! I ran my AC unit to keep my water temperatures low for a couple months last summer but it became too expensive very quickly..might just be because I have quite an old AC unit but thought I'd share my experiences! :Sharing One:

Do you have a central AC unit in your house? If you do, can you run a new duct or use an existing duct to run into your tent? I have temp issues here as well and used an existing air duct to pump cold air into my room. In the fall and winter I block it off and stuff it out of the way.. Good luck!

Insulate the duct with closed cell foam or fiberglass insulation if you're having condensation issues.

If you wrap the outside of the duct in insulation you'll stop the condensation. You should be able to find specific insulation for 4" duct. Either Home Depot or a HVAC supply house.
