I've done one grow in a large closet setup that I threw together. The results were great. But of course the smell was so strong through the domicile that I'm hesitant to grow in it again. I could get a small tent to contain the smell. But wouldn't I still need a whole filtration system, charcoal filters, a space to filter the air outside??
By problem is that if I run a filter/duct or whatever out a window, it won't be stealthy at all.

Run it inside! It will scrub the air. I buy a cheap gel air freshener for really stinky ones, and stick in my extract duct , masks it pretty good. Burn incense every now and then, people get used to odd smells coming from your house then. Also when trimming or cooking, burn some too.

I've been thinking I could just run it inside for a while now. I just wasn't sure. I really need people who come in the house to NOT know what's going on. I can lock the door of that room. But I can't lock the smell in, especially during the last couple weeks of flowering.
Then again, I had NO ducts or filters last time and almost got by with it, so maybe your suggestion will be good enough for my situation.

If all else fails get that sewer smell remover gel Ono , I think. Keep a jar of fresh linen on hand , they will think you opened a laundry in the locked room lol

Thanks guys! I have no experience with filtration systems and such, but have a trusted friend who does, so he's going to try to help me with that when I get my tent. I'll just have a charcoal filter inside.
With this Ono or Ona gel, is it something you would put in/on the filter somewhere or just use separately
Also, rollingalong, what do you mean by a jar of linen?? Having my locked room emanating an odor of a laundrymat would be much preferable to the alternative :)

Incense sticks, I have around 40 different "flavours" and if they can mask the odour that comes out of me after a good curry they'll mask any smell from your plant.

A cheap and simple solution that I know works as during the summer months I had to keep the door of the room where I grow open during the day for temperature, etc, control, and if I didn't light one up I would notice the smell of the plant immediately, especially after getting home after being out and about. A stick or two on a regular basis and Bob's your non-specific gender relative. Obviously a mains/battery essential oil vaporiser does the same thing.

The only factor that will influence this is "how many plants" as, for obvious reasons, a couple of plants kicks off less pong than 10 do, so if you're doing a small grow the above may be a cheap and simple solution.
