I want to make some tincture for my dog,he’s getting old and they found a mass on his bladder and liver still waiting on results to old back, but I don’t want to be pumping him for of pain killers either ,
He’s an English bull terrier ,what would the dosage be,

Poor pup. Yeah things start to hurt when we're older.

I brought this up with our veterinarian last year. (He is a toker) Basically he said that not enough is known yet about canine cannabinoid systems, and cautioned us to wait until there is a better understanding. Another family member brought home a CBD dog treat, and it calmed her down but I am feeling cautious about it.

I have a friend who has a dog treat bussiness I think he sells cbd treats I’ll have to ask him about it

my dog is pretty mellow he’s 10 years old now and now he has this mass on his kidney and bladder that they don’t know what it is unlesss I give the vet 8k to scope him and take a piece, vet told us already mite even not be cancer and you just threw 8k away lol
I don’t Want him in any pain

10 years is getting on if he's a big dog. Maybe your vet can prescribe a pain med? Watch out though- my family brought the dog and a few pills worth $60 home, and when I saw them they were exactly the same pills I take but I pay only $15 for 180.

As bad as the pain is the stress of pain. There's a collar and also a plug in called Adaptil that releases a pheromone that is comforting to dogs. They last about 3 months. Ours is 5 y.o. rescue who's big and strong and reactive so we use them when the she has a particularly big stack of triggers or there's pain.

I am an extreme dog/animal lover. To me they are really no different than any other member of the family. It hurts so bad to see someone you love suffer. But with that said I agree with the above. A psychoactive in a dog’s system could be a very traumatic experience for them, especially since there is no way to explain to them what is going on. I have seen a good number of people experience some paranoia and anxiety after consuming a strong for a cannabis, I have never seen that however with more traditional pain meds. If anything only try CBD, IMO.

You sound like a great dog parent. I hope your babies feel better. My little guy gets pretty pissy on a diet too.
Not trying to tell you what to do but I would love to hear how the CDB plant works for your dog. Although since they can’t speak sometimes it is hard to determine the efficacy of treatments that can not be assessed visually.

My older dog had a mass on his kidney and liver ive spent over $4000 on tests and specialist
They don’t know what the lumps are unless I have them another $8000 to cut and scope him and take a sample
I paid a specialist $300 just for her to tell me that lol
She said it mite not even be cancer and you wasted 8k,so he’s on these pills
At the minute one a day,I’ll get him another ultra sound after
The holidays to see what’s going on,
This time last year he had a lump on the inside of his eyelid making his eye bleed cost
Me 3k for the surgery lol my wife had just bought the pup as well,so that was another $600 for check up and shots for the pup
I’ll grow a plant just make really mild treats

Love hurts, man, yet its all worth it. We went through a similar thing with my last cat, so many tests and procedures and they never did know what caused the anemia that he eventually succumbed to. There was always that chance that we could treat him and/or make him more comfortable.

I wonder, because our species chemistry is so different, if CBD could be psychoactive in dogs? What we guess looks like comfort might be one toke over the line of a heavy indica to them.... they can't tell us their subjective experience.

An example is chocolate...in humans it is a wonderful psychoactive, but could kill a dog, and I've seen dogs eat things that I am sure would be the death of a human.
