Ok so I decided to buy reflectors because these cfls are getting nerve racking!:cuss: lol anyone had trouble hanging them without reflectors? I got these light gauges because in the description on amazon they didn't say they where mogul bases so I had to order extensions. Well the bulbs are heavy and are pulling on the gauges making it super hard to set the up sideways. Right now I got it rigged so that the hang over my pots but I want to hang them horizontally if possible. I have to work but I can get pics up later this eve. But can anyone help, with getting them horizontal Until I can order the reflectors?

I use CFL lighting and what type do you want info on? tubes or bulbs? to use the 125w or 200w CFL's correctly; drop them right into your crop or a couple of feet above as there is little heat. you want verticle as they do not reflect usuable light that good. light meters are a waste of money as they only measure the area that your pointing at NOT the whole tube or bulb. PAR is no good and the other type rate the bulb for age and viable light. I date my tubes, bulbs, T5's, anykind when i put them into use and discard at 1 year or put them in the veg room.

bulbs.m kicking my self now i wish i got t5s if i was goin the cfl route. but im using house hold cfls right now since i just planted my first seed. im ordering refectors d that will fit my bulbs tomorrow.

Lots of people drill holes in wooden struts and fit the bases in the holes then fix the struts to their cabinet.
