i was considering getting one because they are so tall but had a few questions about them.

The one in the link above only has the intake vents on the back not on the sides and since mine will be up against a wall i need them on the sides..i know sometimes the actual product differs from the amazon picture so i was wondering if anyone with one of these can tell me how the vents on theirs is....is there any vent holes for the inline fan on the sides of the tent near the bottom or do they only come in the back? thanks for any help :peace:

They do not have vents on the side at the bottom but they do have them on the top (sides). Why can't you run out of the top?

I have two Lighthouse Hydro tents (4x4 and 4x2). They both have vents on the bottom sides as well as the bottom back. When I view the Amazon page you linked to, and mouse over the alternate image which shows the interior of the tent, I see the side vents just like the appear in my tents.

You might not recognize them, but it's a silver flap with a black fabric hem around its edges. I've attached a screen shot with the flap circled.

I like my tents a lot. For the money, they're a great value.

hey rob thanks for the reply bro, i was curious about them having vents at the bottom rather than the top strictly because i use a 600w HPS and since i live in the south and temps get really hot i need a vent at the bottom as well so i can put an inline fan there to blow air up at my hood to keep temps down thanks for the info man i appreciate it :Sharing One:

The holes on the bottom back are 4" diameter. I always thought they were for electrical cords. Therefore, I thought you were referring to the intake flap in the back (partly because I overlooked your mention of a using an inline fan to push air in).

If you want to force air into the tent and have it enter at the bottom, you could run the tube through a 6" inlet at the top and run it down to the floor of the tent. Ziptie the tube to a corner leg. Just aiming it downward you'd probably only have to go down halfway. It would blow onto the floor?

I've used these flange kits before to add a vent hole to a tent and it works great:

Works best if you screw it to the tent first which will pull the tent fabric tight, then cut out the circle.

Wassup Andy thanks for the help. if i screw one of those into the side of the tent will it be able to hold an inline fan like this...http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61+rF4KFM2L._SL1500_.jpg
or will i only be able to run duct through it and have to put the fan somewhere else?

Sure, you could attach the fan directly to it with no problem. Unless the fan is sitting on the floor, you'd still need to support the weight by hanging it with something otherwise it will pull the side of the tent down. But that's the same thing you'd need to do with a tent that has the built in vent sleeves. I used one of these to make a hole in the side of my old tent for a cool tube setup. The ducting connected from the inside of the tent to the flange and I had the fan on the outside. I hung it from the ceiling with a ratchet hanger and lined it up with the flange to make the connection. You could also put the fan inside and hang it from the roof if you have room.
