Lighting Are autoCObbs worth it?

I'm in a 3x3x6
I was running 2 master kush and 1 blackjack in 3 gallon pots with happy frog and the GO lineuo for nutes
I was not phing correctly at start until I got my PH pen. Plus i was over feeding .That could have caused the lockout I noticed. I flushed and after that they thrived.

I'm still debating which strains to go with this next run. Part of me wants to run the blackjack Photo again. It grew so nicely. I'm thinking about doing 2 blackjack in 5 gallons of happy frog and then 2 blue mystic auto flowers with them. Letting the autos finish and when they do, switching the black Jack's to 12/12. So the BJ would get to veg until the blue mystics are done.

I am really trying to dial in and be able to pull 2lbs per run with 4 auto cobbs. I still need to buy my last one to complete my setup.
Ph is super important keep it in range. 2lbs is a good bit, the grower will have more to do with that than their lights. I would be happy with growing healthy plants and leave it at that. Good luck you veg long enough and you can hit the 2 lbs.

So you're saying 4 oz per plant with 3 autocobbs?

It takes about 37.5 watts per square foot (of high quality COBs) to max growth rates and yields. 3 autocobs = 165 watts, which will max yields over a 2x2. An experienced grower who gets 2lbs out of a 4x4 will get about 8oz out of that 2x2. Remember though, getting 2lbs per tray is achievable but it isn't easy! Pretty much everything has to be dialed in. Anywhere from 4oz to 8oz from 165 Watts of COBs is a good run:smoking:

So that could be 4 little plants (2oz per), 2 medium ones (4oz per), or one big 8oz mutha. That's why "per plant" is a measurement I steer clear of as much as possible. It's inaccurate and misleading!

I would say provided you have the room, a strain capable of high yields, and sufficient nutes there’s no reason not to achieve those numbers or beyond. As I’m sure everyone on here will agree, it is all dependent on the growers ability in addition to those key factors I’ve listed above. There are many that grow with 1 autocob per plant who achieve those figures and in some cases well beyond.
I'd love to see a link to someone's documented and measured results!

I don’t have the time or interest to go hunting for threads, but I’m quite confident that anyone who skips through the autocob section and digs a little the grows are there to be found. Even in the Mephisto and DP sections there are lots of autocob users with their grows documented. They’re around. As I stated before my grow turned out 10 oz off three autocobs and three plants. I had a few hiccups early on which I’m sure didn’t help matters. Anyways I’ll attach a link for anyone interested, but an easy way to see what the lights are capable of just head over to the cob shop section and click on @Dabber mega run thread. I think his recent run of bubba trouble was in the neighbourhood of 3gpw. You’ll have to go back to posts around mid to late September I think...

The actual number is 2.56 GPW was the total for harvest

What you say man

here is an Amnesia grown in a 6 l hangpot under a Cree 3590 running 65 w actual. Yield was 291 dried to 50 % in some 93 days. That's 4,85 g per input watt
