First - Anything that's slow growing, lacking in vigor, displaying odd or undesirable qualities, goes to the bin.
That's before any are transplanted.
Then it's a case of working through the transplanted ones, dividing the group into phenotypes/size and structure.
Then looking deeper at traits like resin production, aroma and making finer selections from there.
Selecting what we feel are the best examples and how we'd like the end product to be for customers when they grow it out.
There's always a lot of un-selected plants left to flower out as normal, and these are the ones we will save samples of for testing, the old fashioned way

and the scientific way. As we generally run projects during a similar timeframe and time of year, we get these samples tested at fairs.
