the camera flash and sparkling crystals takes away some of the purple tones in the pics. with my naked eye, the purple colors are a bit darker.

i just watered the ladies with a little molasses. looks like the first 2 are getting close to finish. #3 is about a week behind the other 2, still putting on a little weight. all are showing some purple coloration in the buds. they are smelling fruity-purpley-dank! with a lot of resin, and the buds are solid.

i also have 2 female Tutti Frutti X Spyder F1s that are about to start flowering. and my 2 LBH Sour Diesel Haze ladies are flowering up nicely. one is larger and super branchy, the other is shorter and less branchy and is further along into flower (i may have stunted her)

...random info post...

so we finally got some rain here in the ol' desert a week or so back, and i collected some of that rain water in 5 gallon buckets. it rained for 3 days straight, which is quite unusual around here, except for during the short monsoon season. (even the tortoise came out of hibernation to get some water during this storm)

anyways, i decided to take some measurements with my ppm meter of the water sources that i have. most of the time i use mostly use RO water, mixed with a little bit of tap water and whatever nutrients i add. this recent rain water has been nice to use on the plants, it has a low ppm, and is said to contain a better mineral content than tap water. and in this low humidity environment, the plants use a lot of water, so the lower the ppm, the less build up that occurs over time in the soil.
when we get rains like this, i like to use the water in my soil mixes, weather making a new one or just amending a working mix. the plants always seem to get a boost from rain water like this. it seems to make them happy. :) i wish it occurred more often in this d@mn desert, lol.

here's the results of the ppm test:
$#!tty desert tap water - 330 ppm
cool oceanic storm desert rain water (whatever made it over the mountains) - 025 ppm
store bought Reverse Osmosis water - 007 ppm
