New Grower Auto duck g#1

This is when id thought id burnt them, it was a little worse than the pic shows but those tips were a bit crispy for sure
IMG_20171107_222405.jpg IMG_20171111_181104.jpg
My main problem though was definitely a ph issue, i was trying to use neat ph down in water with a starting ppm of 1+ nutes in just a liter mix, i never got the hang of the liquid ph kit, god only knows what the ph actually was.
Heres the auto brooklyn sunrise looking not too bad id say

An heres the autoduck

Still a bit sickly but not dead either.
Speaking of run off @jingo its going in at 390ppm an coming out at 590 ish ph was 6.0 on the dot, does that mean the coco's holding on to nutrients?

They both look just fine to me, nice and healthy. If you had some claw under I would worry about you giving too much nutrients, but they look just fine.

I've started my cal-mag a little bit late on seedlings before and I ended up with white crispy tips on my leaves and I can even see some rust colored spots on those early seedlings.

I've never been one to measure runoff, I really don't think it's necessary in Coco. Whatever you put in is going to be what comes out if you're getting enough runoff. If I were to make any diagnosis from that increase ppm coming out, I'd say you need a little bit more run off each watering. That'll give you more oxygen and freshen things up a bit and your plant will grow a little bit quicker.

Thanks jingo, I'm expecting the worst every time i go near them, ill definitely need a smoke after all this;)

Day 38
IMG_20171209_155527.jpg
very stunted, but still hanging in there and she's providing me with the opportunity to learn!
An this week I've been learning about nitrogen toxicity!
Its an easy one to spot with the deep dark green leaves an a waxy high gloss look about them, i put it down to the extra nitrogen in the cal mag but with a n# of 2.6 its still relatively low for cal— mag so on reflection I've no idea why.

Day 31
IMG_20171209_155458.jpg
A week ago i mixed the nutes fed the plants then noticed my bottle of GH flora grow had a load of solids or crystals in there, it never froze but it was very cold where they were stored, then that happened ^^(yellow necrotic leaves)
It looks like magnesium deficiency? Or phosphorus perhaps, some but not all of the stems are purple, also the temps dropped to 66°f a couple of times at lights out.
Its stopped progressing anyhow an the brooklyn sunrise is really taking off again, untill today.
I loaded up the res an turned on the autopots two days ago an the air domes gurgled away lovely, great i thought, but she's showing signs of over watering don't you think,? I've read there can be a bit of a settling in period at the beginning with the autopots but do ya think I need to step in an dry it out for a while?
9/12.

Wish I could advise you on the Autobots but I've never really tried them and I don't feel confident giving any advice.

However, I think your grow wood be helped out tremendously if you just ran your lights 24-0. That would take care of your cold night temps which are stunting your plants a bit and it would increase the nred for nutrients and perhaps take care of a little bit of overfeeding.

Thanks jingo, i was 24-0 up to 3 days ago, i got em 4hours off now in the afternoon an mrs joke is just back from the shops with an electric blanket so finally i hope my temp issues are over.
Up until now though they haven't been the most stable, suppose i don't have to look to hard to find the cause for lack of growth.
Ya live an learn:pighug:

Hey guys hope i find you well,
I'm doing this journal partly to keep track of what I'm doing but mostly so you all can give out to me when you see me about to kill my plants, seriously id love all the feedback i can get, I've done a lot of studying but you cant read experience!

Righty on the other hand though don't look too good does he :(
I shared both pots 1.5 litres of filtered rain water with .5 cal mag and 2 drops (hopefully 0.1ml) roots excelurator.
Ill leave em alone for a few days with the humidity domes on an plan my next move, I've more seeds on order if righty don't make it anyway.

is that really half of a gerbil ball? what an incredible idea!!!! an efficient yet larger air-dome to cover most of the bottom of the pot  Also nice to know I am not the only one that uses duct tape to hold on the darn aridome hoses in place! I had the HARDEST time trying to fill my pots with coco as the air hose kept falling in, or the airdome kept moving. Ahhh yes. Just one more use for good ol duct tape.
