why dont you pick up some kind of flourescent lighting to use for the first 2 weeks mate, you will get better internode spacing and plant structure that will take better advantage of the masses of light supplied by the 600 hps when you switch lights.
Thanks for the tip Buddha. I usually have good results using halide, less inter node spacing. Will soon be upgrading and implementing to homemade high powered LED systems with adjustable lenses :booya:

i missed the start of this one, but I hope it ends with lots of fat nuggets. good luck vitru!

Hey vitruvius, looking real green like. If you take Si's advice and splint her up let us know how it turns out, Looks like the top of your plant is gonna have a nice cola on the top, gonna have to support that weight. Keep it growing and one love

Thanks Stylez. I heard the AM's can get really big so I plan to train her once reached the desired height in order to divert the growth to the sides this should also strengthen her root system too but in the mean time I've got the splint in to take the strain off her anchors and have also implemented an additional 80w in th e 6400k range to give her a boost from the sides. :D

Hey there mate, interested in AMs myself. What height have you actually got your light at? You shouldn't need it much further above the top of the plants than 24 inches. Plants vary so you might want to watch the plants reaction to having the light closer so you can remedy any cause of extra stress from the heat etc

Well they look a he'll of a lot more vigorous in the second set of photo's. Now the lights closer I'm sure they'll start their vigilante vegging!! :) I would also recommend splinting and/or raising the soil level up the main stem. Once you've done that I would also VERY gently train that main cola to the side just to let the light rain down on those side shoots. I think that will also really help the bussyness and side branches develop. :D keep us posted of it's
Growth!.....

Side branching is coming on great since i blazed up the side with the 80w 6400k. She stabilizing nicely now. Looks like shes going into bloom :D

fantastic, don't ya just love how resiliant "weed" is. show us some pics when you get a chance. : ps, i'm subbed!
