I'll check my sock drawer... Any chance 30 yr old seeds will germ?

My bro had a roommate in college (mid 1980's) whose father was a diplomat from Columbia. They would get a care package from Columbia every week. Over two years, my bro got about 30 seeds that he kept in a record needle case until last year. I dropped 5 beans and got one to germ. It turned out to be a beautiful lady and some mind-bending smoke. I hit it with some auto pollen and have an F1 lady going now that is a spitting image of the mother. Some clones off her will be getting hit soon with some pollen to flip over to F2's.

So, it's definitely worth a shot stashmouth!! I put mine in a little mint tin with some sandpaper to rough up the outer shell a little bit, then soaked the beans until they dropped.

I'm already planning an Auto-Panama Red... got get my hands on some PR seed tho...

Seed finder says that Reefermans seeds has it. Check that link I posted to try and locate that woman in WA. Or the Green Door dispensary.

Oh Wow! I havent heard Panama Red in years now! I miss the originals! What a beautiful strain, some of the best smoke I have ever had, falls just short of Malawi Gold

Wish I had saved some of the PR beans. Picked of a big Q for like $35, but this was 30 like years ago when I was in Panama. PR auto would be a home run.

Update

Alright, the first transition week is all over and my all my girls are flowering up nicely...
My male, which I did end up transplanting, has given me plenty of pollen so far...I have officially pollinated my Auto-Pulco Gold clone in the smaller pot. She got it good too... So in about 30 or so days, we'll have our second generation of seed and start the selection process for the auto trait shortly after this photo run is over...
Plans tent to get changed, but I'm planing on staying with the selection process until I'm done and have a strain for you guys to enjoy...I'm sure alot are saying, "it's about time" and I have to agree...These should have been on the F2's by now...

Here's a couple of pics I got. Not to much cause of the 12/12 schedule. By the time I get home from work, I seem to have just enough time to water and check ph...I'll try and do some later..

My mekong autos are just starting to finish up F2 seeds... these crosses take frikin forever compared to autos... lol

also just snagged my F2 blueberry autos.... seeds are drying for a week now... got lots and deep purple hues in my buds... so thats progressing nicely...
