New Grower Auto Seeds Berry Ryder - Late Flowering?

Thanks Swampman and Kushaddict.

Looks like I'll just continue to guide that tip around the pot rim - and tie down her multitude of shoots.

I've managed to keep her pretty low to this point - so if it flowers in the short term, keeping it within the constraints of my grow space shouldn't be a problem. If it continues to grow for a lot longer, it will be more of a challenge to keep the tied down shoots within the thrown light of my two foot T5 - but I'll cross that bridge if and when its necessary.

Thank you, as well - for the heads-up on feeding. I've been alternating straight PH'ed water and supplement feedings (trying to keep it as organic as I can, while knowing I'm somewhat constrained by the fact that I didn't balance the soil with as much as she will need for a grow running this long) - but I'll keep an eye on her hunger level and adjust the schedule as necessary. I'll drop by my local hydro store and see what they have on hand, should that prove necessary in the coming weeks.

Thank you all again for all your help - I sure do appreciate it!

if she's in a smaller container like 1/2 gal u can get a frosty ass pls t In that time ..and there is some that have finished ...they also go very fast at the end last 2 weeks will be ur like .." Holy shit AFN wow Time...
Organic compost is great but they can get a strong dose of mist nutrient lines I've seen ..
Like full dosesge ..but ur light is what's key so maybe a good tea every week and water rest ..
Good luck bro I'll follow with ya !!!

Cool, SM.

I'm away at work for another two weeks - so this ladies care has been entrusted to my Lady (who - like me - is from hunter/gatherer stock, and like me - is a notorious house plant torturer and murderer - ha ha!) - so I'm hoping for the best in the short term.

For a small, energy efficient light - the T5 HO has seemed to do a pretty good job, to this point (bear in mind, I have no previous experience to compare to, though!) - we'll see how it holds up through the flowering phase (supposing it will do that, one day - of course!).

I'm holding out hope for that "AFN wow time" - but am equally prepared for it all to spin out of control in a veritable hurricane of fungus gnats, spider mites and nute burn - ha ha! Its just how I roll.

Yeah ur almost there bro ..just keep that P/k on a good level ..they like to put out ..too seem many ozs from this strain ..i did 4 plants on the first ..it was insane how big they were ..can go 4 foot easily !!!

Shift finally finished (three weeks) - and finally home!

Despite my Lady's and my best efforts to the contrary - I returned home to find this scrapper still alive!

My Lady went out of town for 10 days and set up a ceramic auto-waterer before she left. Unfortunately - it failed to achieve it's prime - and didn't water a drop. She seems to have weathered the drought OK, though I'm sure it slowed the flowering quite a bit.

However - she seems to have begun to flower - and thats a big step farther along than when I began this thread - ha ha!

DAY 66

IMG_8955.jpgIMG_8957.jpgIMG_8961.jpg

She seems to have spent a good portion of the last three weeks adding length to her shoots - and the growing tip is 18'' longer than when I left for work.
I stopped in at the local hydro store, on my way home (first time there - it should have been my first stop when I decided to start this evolution!) and picked up a bottle of General Organics Bio Bud and CaMg+, which she got a half strength feed of last night.

Many of the fan leaves have a pretty good claw developing - and a general internet search indicated quite a range of possible deficiencies/toxicities - whithout providing me much in the way of a definitive.

Can anyone offer a little guidance on this?

Height appears as though it may be a factor for me, before she finishes - so I employed a little more LST (which pretty much maxs the light umbrella of my little 24'', 4 tube T5HO!) to expose a few more bud sites, and hopefully keep the finished height within the constraints of my height challenged grow space.

Thanks for checking in - and thank you in advance for any advice you can give me in regard to the clawing issue - I'll update again soon.

From what I have managed to dig up - if the clawing isn't a symptom of over-watering, or heat issues (neither of which have been a problem with this plant) - then its most likely a nitrogen toxicity.

Two weeks ago, my Lady top dressed the soil with a bat guano - the N of which I believe was a 12.

So today I flushed with 8L of PH'ed water (all I had available that had been off-gassing for more than 24h) divided into two pours of 4L each - both at 6.5 PH.

The run-off of the first 4L PH'ed at 6.0 - the second at 5.7.

I'll be flushing again tomorrow with 10L, and I guess my question is: Should I PH the water going in to a higher level (say ~7.0) to try to bring the run-off to 6.5 - or should I stick with 6.5 going in?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Now im on day 90 w mine and prob another week or two to go lol. It takes awhile.

I hear you, KA - consensus is that this plant will run ~100 days - and this one appears to be leaning towards the +100 day side of things (especially as - from what I've garnered - N toxicity slows development quite a bit - assuming she survives it, of course)!

Do you have a journal going for your Berry Ryder, that I could take a look at?

I may have jumped the gun a bit - but I felt the need to flush this plants soil acidity outweighed the benefit of letting my tap water off gas for 24 hours - so I pushed another 25L of water through her, yesterday afternoon (not an easy task - as she lives in an attic, with no access to a drain - so it was up and down the ladder with a 5L water container and draining buckets).

I didn't PH balance the water to 6.5 - it comes out of my tap at ~6.9 - 7.0 - and the final 5L I poured in ran off at 6.3 (quite an improvement over the initial 5.7).

Now I'm playing the waiting game - to see if she'll recover. I can see there will be leaf loss - but with any luck, this will have been addressed in time.

Thanks for checking in - and I'll update with results.

Welcome Guerrilla, AFN ROCKS Looks like your are doing a fine job keep it up

Thanks WW53!

So it appears she just might make it - some of the older leaves still display clawing (and a few died - which I trimmed off as close to the stalk as I could), but the newer growth is a paler green and growing straight.

Its been three full days since the last flush - and the pot is feeling light, so I believe I'll give her a drink at lights-out, tonight.

I'm wondering - given this lady's recent medical history - whether it would be wiser to just give her a drink of PH'ed water - or should I go ahead and give a half strength feed of Bio Bud and CaMg+ to encourage her flowering (which is slow in developing)?

Thanks in advance for your advice on this - and thanks for checking in!
