HEY EVERYONE THIS IS MY FIRST GROW I HAVE 2 VISION WHITE WIDOW AUTO FEM GOING AND ONE LIBERTY HAZE REGULAR GOING. All 3 are exactly 29 days old. they were started for 21days under 8- 23watt cfls for 24hours a day and then moved under 1-600watt MH Conversion bulb for 18/6. all 3 were started in FOXFARM LITE WARRIOR THEN TRANSPLANTED IN A MIX OF 1/3 lite warrior and the rest OCEAN FOREST soil. THE 2 WW AUTOS ARE IN 5gallon pots and the regular liberty haze is currently in a 1 gallon pot. I was told to put the AUTOS in big pots from the get-go cuz they don't like being transplanted. THey have all been fed only 2 times so far with Big BLOOM.. First time was 2 1/2 teaspoons per gallon then next time was PH straight water and then the 3rd time was 3 teaspoons per gallon Big Bloom. ( Big Bloom calls for 6 tsp per gallon thought that would be to much so I gave them wat I said) THe problem I am having is the plants seemed to really slow down growing. They were growing fast before and now they almost stoped. The tops of the plants (only the WW Autos) look like they got burned a little (see pictures) ( the new leaves coming out the little ones by the hairs , the tips are twisting and look like they are drying out) its only happening to a few of the tops on both plants... it started when I first moved them into the room with the 600watt MH.. THe hood is air cooled and I first had it 18in away from the tops. then when I noticed the problem I raised it to 25in from the tops. The reason why I think they were getting burned is cuz the other liberty haze plant I have going in there also got some heat stress when I first moved them in there. 2 of the upper leaves started curling up all around the edges. And since got better and is growing fine... BUT I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS... PLEASE HELP ANYONE IF U KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE.. I AM A FIRST TIME GROWER AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO... I AM worrying cuz they started budding and now it seems like they stopped or really slowed down. before I could see a difference in the pplants everytime I went into the room and now its like nothing is happening. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PICS AND SEE WHAT U THINK IT MITE BE... I ALWAYS PH MY WATER TO 5.9 - 6.1 and I checked my run off 2 weeks ago and it was 6.4...

Your plants look nice and healthy.I think the white tips of someof those new leaves are due to light burn.I don't use HPS lighting so I don;t know what the correct height should be but You might raise them up a little more and see if that helps.

The tips of the leaves are twisted alittle and they look like they are dry and also look alittle crispy... I don't know?? ive read where people say that they can put their 600watt light 12in away cuz they are air cooled??? I started it at 18in and I think that is why it happended to the tops of the plants?? I don't know.... but I do know that the plants seem to have stopped growing.. CAN THEY STOP GROWING FROM LIGHTBURN??? OR COULD IT BE SOMETHING ELSE THAT BURNED THEM AND STOPPED THEM FROM GROWING??? PLEASE ANYONE THAT CAN HELP PLEASE DO!!!!! THANK U

ive gotten dried out leaves from having a fan blowing directly on them too, just another thing to check if you have one (better to have it bouncing off a wall or your light so it spreads around a little). looks good though i wouldnt worry too much.

what fan are you using(extraction and circulation) and what are your temps like? didnt see them mentioned but hard to skim through the block of text.

i wouldnt worry it looks healthy anyway,
lowering it and letting it grow up to the screen will probably sort it. im sure growth will resume soon.

i wouldnt worry it looks healthy anyway, maybe slightly overfed? ..guesswork.

I HAVE A 6in 600cfm extraction fan and a ocilating fan with 3 setting set on 2 blowing on them.... my temps are 70-

79degrees BUT WHY WOULD MY PLANTS STOP GROWING?? THEY SEEM STUNTED?? IM WORRIED CUZ THEY STARTED

BUDDING AND NOW THEY SEEM LIKE THEY STOPPED... HOW FAR SHOULD MY 600 MH be from them? its air cooled

hood... its at 25in now........ And what did u mean by---lowering it and letting it grow up to the screen will probably sort it. im sure growth will resume soon

Lower the lamp a bit can go closer than that especially if air cooled once they start producing buds the vertical growth will slow as energy goes into the buds. Don't think it's at that stage yet I think it more likely nute burn than light burn. I would just feed with a really week nutrient solution like a quarter of what you have been doing on just one of the stunted plants when I did this on myn I noticed it sorted itself out with 48 hours. If it looks better then do the same with any other showing these symptoms.

Also in soil ph should be more around 6.5 don't ph it to 5.9 I feed myn with a ph of about 7 and they love it run of is usually about 6.7ish

I found this helpful can imagine much difference between hps or mh

hey thank u for the reply!!!! So you think that it is nute burn??? Now

that im thinking about it, i did feed them their first time the same nite

that i moved them under the 600 mh... I should water them tomorrow

with just water so i will flush them. I never did it yet... Now with the

ph level im a little confused... I usually ph my water to like 6.0 and

the run off is 6.4-6.5... Is this good?? What do you think??? And thanx

so much for the help!!!! ALSO I AM GOING TO TURN ON MY HPS 600 TOMORROW

HOW HIGH SHOULD I KEEP IT FROM THE CANOPY?? ITS CURRUNTLY 24in

AIR COOLED HOOD.... MAYBE THATS WHY THEY ARE GROWING SLOW?? TO FAR FROM THEM??

I think it's some form of nutrient or ph issue rather than the light. If there is a strong breeze it can also give a similar effect sometimes. Just looks exactly like one I had will try and find a pic. If your run of is 6.5 that should be ok actually but going into flowering plant will start using more phosphorus aswel Wich is easier to uptake at slightly higher ph same goes for calcium and magnesium. I would suggest just giving your usual amount of water with light nutes if you have a fan on it direct it away a bit. Do you now your humidity?
