:peace: grow/learn

So Cliff, you are going outdoors with the ladies. From what I know, just reading mind you not experience, autos will do fine outdoors but because they have a short life cycle they may not produce as well as they would indoors.
1) To really get the best out of them they need ~ 20 hours of light per day. Regardless of that, they will still thrive fine outdoors. Just wanted you to be aware of that if you are looking at yields on the forum.
2) Looks like kushaddict answered your question about the flowering part, they have it worked out now.
3) Next question would be, are these going directly in the soil outdoors or do you intent to plant them in pots? If pots, are you still going with the Sunshine 4? If so, just so you understand, you are going to need to be adding nutrients on a regular basis. Probably once a week or so. I didn't see where you mentioned nutrients yet but maybe I missed it in an earlier post. Do you have nutrients yet? If not, there are several brands on the market whether you want to go with Organic or Chemical. Some of the more popular brands used by forum members here are, General Hydroponics/Organics, Advanced Nutrients, Fox Farms, Earth Juice, Bio Canna, there are too many to list but from what I have read the first three are generally the most popular.
4) Also, I don't know how much you have grown recently so you are going to need a real good ph meter. This is probably the most important tool you will be using during your grow. I mean this with all seriousness, this is the most important tool to have for growing weed. There are several manufacturers out there, Blue Lab probably makes the best one out there but is quite pricey. Hannah makes very good meters as well and it is what I use. Along with this meter, you are going to need the buffer solutions to calibrate it. The meter will not do you any good if you don't calibrate it regularly. There will probably be several buffer solutions for it, I haven't used Blue Lab but if you opt for the Hannah, your most important two will be 7.01 and 4.01. These are the most important ones to get the ph calibrated properly.
5) If you are going with pots outdoors, I would highly recommend using either "smart pots" or "air pots". Both of these products have shown to increase plant production and they are quite reasonable in price considering the return you get on investment. They are also reusable so they will stay with you for some time. You can google them or search on amazon and most everyone carries them.
6) Lastly, since you are growing outdoors you may want to purchase some neem oil to have on hand in case of pest infestations such as spider mites and such. Neem oil can be found at most big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot and will ward off most pests that your plants may encounter. It is relatively cheap as well and although I have not had any problems it has been recommended by many on this forum so I have it on hand just in case.

If you do have problems some where along the way and need help. Write up as much detail as you can in this original post and see what people have to offer for help. If you are in dire need of help quickly or someone doesn't answer your write in a day or so then there is a forum section called Hospital / Infirmary for Sick Plants. It is located down toward the bottom on the main page. Post a write up in there being as detailed as possible and that is checked pretty regular by mods and experienced growers. You should get a message back within 24 hours of how to proceed and normally much sooner. The response time for me has generally been less than a couple of hours. Hey bro, you can't even get in to see a real Dr. that quick and these guys are giving you their experience and tribal knowledge for free!

I hope that helps you along your journey here on AFN, I will be subscribing to your post and following along just in case you may need to help with anything. I am completely new to Auto growing but I do know how AFN operates so I can help in that aspect. Feel free to PM me if you need questions on how to post something or where to find anything. I am normally on here 3-4 hours throughout the day reading and can get back to you pretty quick. If you aren't sure how to PM, just click on my name in the left hand corner of any post I write and select "Private Message". That will take you to a page that looks like an email. Type your message up and hit send. It is instantaneous.

Take care brother.
