Lighting Autocobs and Mephisto...by slowandeasy

Looks like a serious ph issue to me, not nute deficiency. Are you ph'ing your water? I'd suspect with Bio Tabs you'd want a ph around 6.3 to 6.5, similar to soil.

Here are the 24 C and Sour Cracks being fed by Biotabs. They started of good, but started to get a deficiency. Calmag seemed to help at first, but then it made some pistals orange up prematurely...So I stopped using it. I use 100% Coco and I tried Biotabs because I had a Total Hip replacement and making nutes daily is labor intensive. However, I believe Biotabs work better in Soil than Coco, but I am not willing to change from Coco. I would rather mix nutes daily than get lower yields and worse looking plants. Not ripping on Biotabs, I just don't think they can compete with getting fed nutes daily. The new seedling is a Sour Stomper, day 1...I am done using Biotabs for now...That seedling and the other 7 I started will be fed Coco nutes. View attachment 718747

I agree that it looks like pH. However I was told to NOT pH my water by Kees, the developer of Biotabs. I was told to use RO water. Plus pHing RO water doesn't work well anyhow, no buffers. That being said, you could still be right. It starts off like a Calmag def, that is why I tried Calmag first. My RO water pH is not in the Coco or Soil zone really, but I was going by the instructions and the developer. I spent a decent amount of $ on the whole Biotabs line up, so when I do try them next...You know I will be trying to pH my water, even though they say it is not necessary. Having grown in Coco for so long, and Hydro before that I am RELIGIOUS about checking pH. So just adding un-pH'd water to a reservoir seems bat shit crazy to me, but being the first time using them, I wanted to to see how they did as directed.

Day 27 from seed Sour Blues. And a small Sour Hound much younger to the left.

I Will update pics tomorrow night, the Sour Blues is really drying out fast. I am going to switch to Bloom nutes tomorrow night. She has plenty of N, so do the Bloom nutes...Plus the 10ml per gallon of Magical adds some N. She looks great, no Calmag Def. I had to raise the lights pretty much everywhere tonight, I have some Toof Decay plants in the back right corner that started to take off. Those 2 Autocobs were lower and the color shows on those 2 plants. They need stronger food tomorrow and I raised the lights tonight. I have a lot of Autocobs, so I don't need to keed them very close. Oh yeah, the little Sour Hound in stretching a little. I have a bigger Sour Hound that is a few days behind the big Sour Blues, it is preflowering pretty good.

Thanks Big, I was told Sour Blues was a good SOG strain but this girl looks rather big for a SOG...

Some of the fan leaves are Mammoth. Not sure how much she is gonna stretch, but she is a decent sized girl at Day 31.
