Unfortunately due to the length of time it's been since I've made an update, and the time its been since Ive had direct contact with you, this is going to be grotesquely long.

Since we last spoke, I have made/baked a plethora of different things things - two of which are note worthy enough to mention to you.
Charms BlowPop flavored whoopie pies (sugar cookies flavored with strawberry jello sandwiching a fat fluffy layer of bubblegum flavored butter cream :drool and caramel apple pie flan...or custard- call it what you will, it was delicious lol (your basic flan recipe with added diced apple some extra cinnamon and some caramel mix I had layin' around :still drooling

ANYWAYS lol down to the nitty gritty that is the girls.

AutoMaria is quite lovely - however she has ALSO started to suffer from a lack of nutes and Im gonna go with lacking the 3 majors N P and K.
Took these pictures on Saturday (the 19th) when I read about taking great pictures in the dark with the flash and that was the last time they had a solid photo op. Shes also got one teeny bud leaf on her main that i DONT have a picture of that has 3/4 of the way turned....dark. I cant really pinpoint the color at this point as I have yet to take her away from the HPS and look at the color, but I wanna say its like...a really deep shade of purple -

I wondered if she was only yellowing for the normal reasons (approaching harvest) but I feel like she wouldn't show signs of other def. if that were the case....or perhaps it would? Im really just NOT SURE LOL

At the start of AA yellowing I thought it was an N def. but for whatever reason, I had CONVINCED myself that couldnt be the issue cause the MG N# is 4 and PH was in check so the N was there. Evidently not nearly enough lol.
I did look for the Sea Grow on Amazon but got SO man different results and I didnt know precisely what I was looking for *until now lol, so I ended up getting these 2 things to add to the feeding regimen - 1- finally got the BLACKSTRAP instead of my regular grandma's unsulphured molasses and I was high when I was looking for high PK ferts so I dont recall how or where I came across it, but I read that this 2. dyna gro stuff is supposed to be awesome.
SOO...now what? lol And don't worry, I dont expect an answer anytime soon due to your whole time warp thing and my one man posse thing LOL.
So my NPK options are as follows -
Flora Micro 5- 0- 1
Flora Grow 2-1-6
Flora Bloom 0-5-4
MG RapidStart 4-12-4
Dyna Gro Mag Pro 2-15-4

Im wondering...should I hit AA next feed with some flora micro for the N boost? Perhaps mix some up and foliar feed it for quicker delivery? Then once the N def. is corrected, feed with 1/2 strength MG, and 1/2 strength Dyna Grow for a combined NPK of 6-27-8 (do I divide those numbers by 2 since I'd be going at 1/2 strength?) or is that overkill?

Cause you confused me when you said

....dont get me wrong, it makes complete sense that since the plant is putting on weight, it needs more N to...compensate (dont quite know if thats the right word I wanna use here lol). But as we know, all plants/and or/strains are different, grow differently and in turn will have different levels of need for N during flowering. Like, I would think that some of the very first auto strains, would need less N in flowering compared to the later strains, since the first autos (from what I've read) stayed small and didn't have great yields - not as large=not as much to compensate for=a lesser need for N in flower *compared to later strains*//end rant//

lol indeed AA does have some solid cola action in the works. Im stoked that I still have another AA seed, cause I think Ima like her. She really is fucking stinky lol and its the kind of stinky that I LOVE. That pungent fuely/skunky scent that you can smell from a block away :drool:
Security.....Im starting to worry about it a little bit. I mean - we DO own the house. Buuuuut...Its in a townhouse community, so it may as well be like living in an apartment, as there is a neighbor on either side of us....just in townhouses and not apartments lol. Last grow, there were 2 plants and a clone and even at/during harvest, you only got a faint smell of weed outside of the closet in the room, but once you got in there, it smelled like someone just got done smoking a bowl with the plants lol.
This time around?
:crap: lol so the house is 4 floors. The garden is on the 3rd floor in his "hobby room or mancave, stop calling it a craft room!" lol. You can start to smell the plants from outside the door in the hallway. The girls' bathroom (it connects to the 'man cave') and the man cave both reek, so im sure you can imagine what its like actually going IN the closet lol The next floor up is our bed room and Im CONVINCED I can smell them. I mentioned it to K the other night and he said that he didn't smell anything....BUT lol there is a vent right next to my side of the bed so I wonder if thats why I can smell them and he can't. Or perhaps Im just being paranoid, which is also a distinct possibility lol. Then he says to me "I dont think it smells any more like weed than the house normally does" LOL
I dont mind the smell either, and would sit with them, just soaking it in all day long if I could, lol I just worry that the longer FB and AA flower, the stronger the smell is going to get and the higher the chances of needing to implement some sort of...smell reducer lol

So I posted in the infirmary about AM2's discoloration wondering if it was just her closing in on harvest of if she was showing more than one nute deficiency.
I was told N and Cal Mag but to not worry too much about it being so far into flower.

Ignoring the issue (at least for me as a first time auto grower) is NOT helping me determine when she's finished. And with no strain dependent reliable information, im left only to assume. And I dont like assuming with this, it leaves too much room for a critical mistake I spent 2 1/2 months doing, you know? I know my leaves are supposed to tell me by yellowing then falling off from the bottom up. Buuuuuuut, if she's having nute deficiencies that are imitating that same thing (and also being ignored so signs are moving up the plant)then how the hell am I supposed to know when I should stop adding nutes and its time for the chop..especially if I dont know if this particular strain has trics that amber or not.
But as previously stated I suppose my game plan is to just give AM2 ph'd water from here on out and chop in give or take a day here or there, a week....unless other wise notified that is haha. Speaking of my girls I wanna go upstairs and check on em

:smoke: swing and a miss, gamer babe! ..well, maybe a foul ball,... N is lacking a bit, but Ca Mg are the most "glaring"- LOL! (like you're doing now I'll bet -LOL!!)... Which again, at this stage, is fine; it's the job of those fans to be eaten up and shed as she finishes, an important stage in her end-life, and a cue that tells her to hurry up and finish,.. Too much N now would screw with the color and bud development, as by now bulk building is slowing down,... color changes on leaves, like purples/reds, is also normal; As for how much N, well, that's a case by case thing, but having something in the 5-10 range during bloom nutes is a good place to start (4-12-4, 4-24-2, 4-8-6 are examples)... If I see the tell-tale overall yellowing, no spots/dead stuff, starting low on the plant and moving up, that's a very likely clue that they need a little extra, which can be solved by adding some grow nutes to the bloom, just dilute the over all conc. of the combined nutes, like 1/2 and 1/2,... ** now, when is she ripe? did you say you have a loupe or strong magnifier? I go by both the trichs, and the leaves; frankly, I have yet to see personally an auto that didn't amber, but they are out there, I just don't have strain names,... you read Muddy's sticky, so pay little attention to the age, and go by leaves/trichs; right now, I have a small multipot with 5 girls in it, 2 strains (bad idea, BTW), and the one strain (a pal's personal cross) is the fastest I've seen period,... one will be done well under 2 months! I couldn't keep her very green to save my life, even feeding hits of 16-16-16! She started eating fans at 5 weeks! crazy, but she's turning out great (I'll post a link so you can check them out!) ...point is, you read readiness plant by plant, no set schedule! Since the speed of ambering is variable, depending of several things, it's best just to look at her every couple days, and watch the pace of going clear to cloudy to amber, and in doing so, try your best to estimate a harvest date, and stop all nutes at least a week before, to make she she cleanses out, and let the fans do their job by supplying what bits she needs at the very end,... A harvest ready plant should look pretty shabby, in fact! ... Scope out AM2 and see if all the trichs are milky cloudy, and if any amber has started; look at the calyxes themselves, not so much the leaves, as they get beat up more and tend to amber-out sooner than the bud proper,... You won't screw up Mz.W, unless you takes her full of nutes (nasty smoke) or you let her go so deep into amber that she's overripe,...that takes weeks of negligence... :no: *** I hope that ramble made sense, and answered you harvest timing ?'s... Oh, sheer experience helps too,... :roflcry:

(TaNg recommended it highly, and he is one of the premier growers here, very experienced, and skeptical of many products, so when he says :thumbs:, buy that shit!!)... the array of stuff available these days is staggering, really,... But, when you see some folks like Sniper, who grow beauties all the time with relatively few products, you sober up on the hype, and look at basics very carefully, and chose wisely the other goodies you want to try,...

You know...Ive actually wondered my damn self about bubble gum flavoring...I've never seen any type of 'bubble gum extract' in the grocery store...though I reckon if you go to the candy making isle in Michaels or something you could probably find some.
HOWEVER, haha.
I actually used this stuff - and I freaking LOVE it lol. It comes in all types of flavors that frosting doesnt normally come in. Youre supposed to use their giant ass can of 'flavor creations' frosting but I said eff that haha. Homemade frosting is easy enough to put together, tastes better, and I know exactly what is going in it (not like i particularly care lol). AND to make it even MORE versatile, you dont HAVE to use it to make frosting cause its just a powdered flavoring...example I was experimenting one time with these, and I decided to make a 'cotton candy cheesecake'. Not sure why I thought that would be good, but i did...and it wasnt lol. but you get my drift =P

It's a relief to know that AM2 is right where she should be. Last watering was ph'd water with a TBS BSM...no not bDsm when I got that comment on my post in the infirmary I was completely lost, given my question was nute def. or finishing and the answer I received was nute def. So Im sitting here and Im thinking back to the grow report on paradise for AM2 that says -

She grows vegetative for approximately 14 days and then enters into a rapid, almost violent flowering period. For the next 56-60 days she branches out vigorously, throwing out thousands pistils, her calyxes swell and a coating of resin glands make a mature plant of Automaria glisten as if dusted with fine diamonds

In the end, after 60-63 days of flowering, the buds had become rock-hard and were richly frosted with resin.

and the word flowering kept on coming to my mind. like...this grow report doesnt say 60 days from SEED like paradise. it says that for 60-63 days of flowering. And the first part about growing in veg for 14 days and then flowers for 56-60. All of it goes against the 60 days from seed proclamation by paradise themselves.
So my am2 had pistils on day 18 from seed and is now what, on day 54 of flower. So to ME that meant no my girl was NOT having any deficiencies that she isn't supposed be having at this point in her life. She's simply finishing her life cycle. So thank you for reassuring me :hug:
Now for the tric thing. I believe it was you who initially told me that some strains dont ever show amber. So I think I've been going under the incorrect pretense that like.. 99% of strains don't amber lol Thats why when bots told me to go by trics a while ago I was like "..................blink...blink blink...blink." lol
I do have a set of 10-30x loupes and a 60-120x pocket scope. But then arises the issue I talked about in that post. My inexperience seems to prevent me from actually being able to tell the difference in color..which is part of the reason I believe I harvested too early last time - because I can't tell the difference between clear and cloudy. They all look cloudy to me (and seeing as how I was trying to harvest for mostlty cloudy..in combination with my impatience lol). Though I suppose now that I know I really should start keeping out for ambers I'll start and cross my fingers and hope for the best lol

But she really really does lol. A few weeks ago, if you can recall between my long rants about dessert and putting out all of those fires lol, I was legitimately concerned about it lol. Compared her to a fat kid at heart without any cake lol Worried that she was never going to fill out that she was just going to keep popping stringy ass long pistils forever lol. Alas, she has started to fill out but it still hairy as ever.

As for the sea grow and the hit on my nutes- lol, I wanted to get the sea grow i really did! lol but when I typed it in to amazon I got all kinds of results and I didnt know which one exactly that you were recommending to me so instead of waiting to get something with a higher p-k number until I could get a definite answer from you, I figured it was better to at least get something that was better for her/them rather than wait...in all fairness, it can take a LONG time to put out a fire..much less multiple ;P I also thought about getting this at 0-0-22, but I thought that the P was the main number I wanted to get higher..and the dyna grow was what I came up with lol
also thought about getting some of this
the description says "Increased nutrient uptake, Increased cell expansion and replication for larger flowers, Increased creation of internal floral structures and compounds for increased aroma, taste, potency and market value, Potential 9-23% gains in harvest weight and size during last trimester of growth" all of which sound fantastic for any crop bearing plant lol.
Do you or anyone else who happen to stumble upon this post happen to have an input/and or/experience with these two products??

Now, these are what I'm using, just suggestions, but most of these have other equivalents... I'm trying to KISS it too Mz. W, and add something special only when I understand how it will work and if it's well recommended.... recently, I added a couple other things too, and we'll see if they make a significant difference,....(Avalanche, and Bud Factor X, since you asked.... oh, I know what each color/state of them means its determining the actual color of them I have the issue with. But it sounds like what you're saying is immature trics are NOT bulbous where as maturing/mature ARE. So for example, this is the impression I was under -
green being clear blue being cloudy

I had assumed that the grow report was written by someone unaffiliated with Paradise, since Paradise claims 60 days from seed and the grow report said 14 days in veg with 60-65 days of flower. If I were following breeder hype, wouldn't I have chopped her 2 weeks ago? lol I mean please correct me if Im wrong, I do smoke a lot of weed lol

...you have the P base covered for now, but you can up your game with the SG Bloom 4-24-24...

....sooooo...AGAIN lol I smoke a lot of pot, so please forgive me, but didn't we already go over this? lol as far as i can remember you told me that mixing my MG(P#12) and AN Bloom(P#5) would give me a P of 17 but that I really wanted it in the 20's. So are you saying that that will no longer work? lol I mean sure its a PITA to do it, but I've already got a pant load of nutes that need to get used lol. And if combining multiple of my nutes is how I've gotta do it...does it particularly matter if I get the sea grow right now?? lol I know your reasoning is that its cheap, good, and will last a while, and I more than likely will end up getting it at some point but is it necessary right now​?

Very soon, the get booted from the extra light, to make room for some new babies hatching this week- Grape Hash Plant and Lambsbread! (photo's)... for a vatious reasons, they need to ge riden hard with long light hours (20/4-ish), then get booted outside full time to trigger flowering early as possible,... hopefully, I'll have a new 400w HPS soon too, so I can get some auto's going, starting with reg' seed strains, then pile on the fem's as space permits! very excited about my choices this year, very diverse crew,... I'll let you know when I get a thread up and running, okay?

LOL! Can you tell me why seeing the amber color is difficult? Lighting is the usual culprit, that's why I suggested sunlight,... Immature trich's do have a head, but start out smaller, not as full; they will reach a max. size (this varies a lot, between strains) and still remain clear; clouding follows soon after they size out; ambering is a THC breakdown process,.... **

...zoom is pretty good actually, again, it's the lighting that can make it difficult to distinguish,....

...You're killin' me,... :roflcry:.....K, islower than I like to see in your current line-up.... P is okay, but still on the mild side,..... some of the fav' bloom boosters out there are in the 50's! Whoa!! I use grow More's Hawaiian Bud, 5-50-17, but at a reduced dilution, to avoid burn/toxicity, and not every time.... again, it's all about the ratio between the NPK's,... and trying to maximize your production just a bit more! By no means are your plants showing defc. of either, and your buds look great! BUT, bigger plants, which you will have later, may need more to keep up with demand..*** No, no rush for the SG,... my point with SG grow/bloom is it'll cover both P-K bases very well, w/o the PITA mixing,... which is fine, and I get that you want to use up what you have- I do the same- but at some point, next round maybe, try it out!

Then was finishing it this morning...hit the submit button and had an AFN fail that told me I'd logged in and had to hit back and re submit. so I did....and had to restore my auto saved content. but it only restored like...the first paragraph so I said fuck it haha I'll probably respond at some point....

Im starting to worry about AM2.
Being sati. dom. shes going to take longer to finish than if she were an indica. And given that she doesnt seem to be a very popular or well documented strain so I only have breeder advert. to go off of.
So Ive stopped feeding her ferts, but her upper most (main cola) bud leaves and a calyx here and there are starting to turn purple. And seeing as she's not a purple strain..( night temps don't dip below 62 and day time hasnt gone over 78, since I ordered a small clip on fan to point at the HPS. Seems to be exactly what we needed in there.. So moral of the story is because shes going to take longer, and all the purpling, I feel like I should indeed still be feeding her. Also, A LOT of her pistils are still AWFUL spry to be 5 days from Harvest (which is what I had been planning), and a lot of trics (going off the conversation with waira) are still immature..I've also found some...odd things.
Is this what I think it is? Nanners? Cause it sure as fuck looks like a bunch of bananas lol

AA makes me drooooool. Its very unfortunate that she has so much longer to go because she is absolutely b-e-a utiful, and she smells absolutely amazing. It's times like these were I wonder. WHYYY have we not invented smell-o-vision yet?' Like really. Could you imagine watching the food network and being able to smell the deliciousness? lol now take away the food and add some ganj to the equation.
